Looks like you're buying. Most of us have a little class, and don't HAVE to drink top shelf, but don't expect us to be swilling out of rail bottles either.

That is a nice pic, Clint. You have a good day too. Only a couple more weeks and you can catch your breath.

If you were my accountant you would have fired me by now. I'll get mine turned into her be tomorrow, and that'll be early for me. How she has put up with me for the last 16 years is beyond me. I'm not a hard one by any means, but still....

I guess it's time to update you guys on my focus. I've been working on ATG passes with my straights. I've gone from tentative and inconsistent, to confident and consistent this month. Today's ATG pass was smooth and easy. I had a very nice shave today with BBS results. I look forward to the day when every shave is like this. I'm getting close, thanks to these 30 day threads.

Dialing in the lather of my one take from The Soap Pass-around Volume II. With all the others I've been bouncing through, the puck was dry. Took several loadings to get enough for a dry pasty lather in the bowl, then water brought up the glossy slick. WTG & tentative ATG with the shavette, followed by XTG, G-slides on my neck, and a bit of chin buffing. Alum moderatly tingly, Barbasol menthol cooled it right down. DFS for my efforts. My open blade skills aren't progressing and I call fault on relying on a DE to clean up. With Brian @mrchick's kamisoris & the popsickle sticks approaching it might be time to kick the training wheels off. I need the scars to heal before starting the next batch!
    Good Shaves Y'all!

    March 29 - PolSilver Day 3

    Merkur 34C
PolSilver Super Iridium blade (Day 3)
    The Phoenix brush
    DIY PSO
    Stirling Sharp Dress Man
    Alum/Theyers WH /Nivea SPSB

SDM is a great scent and lathered awesome with only 20 seconds in the jar. Perfect lather. 3 Passes and touch up yielded BBS. Impressed the PS were nicely smooth and no real indications of tugging. Felt very much like the blades as when they were new. Holding the razor by the CG helped keep it extra light. If I wasn't chasing the baby with a few extra touch ups, the alum heat I felt on the neck wouldn't have been there. In all a good shave. I find more and more, irritation is strongly tied to number of passes and pressure for me. Being efficient with the proper angle and keeping pressure light largely mitigates irritation.

I have the Feather blade on deck but these PolSilvers will easily go another day.

Day 4 of 30 days of Henckel straights

My first pass was very, very good today. It was everything I could hope for.

On my second pass, I cut myself today worse than I have ever cut myself, and the darn thing didn't look like it would ever stop bleeding no matter what I did.

I am skipping shaving tomorrow because I need to let my face rest after all of the abuse I have been putting it through lately.

    DIY Pre-shave Oil
    ABC Face Lathered
24mm High silvertip set an extra 10mm deep
    2 passes, WTG, wTG
    Sampsons All Natural Aftershave Balm
    4/8 Round Toe Henckel 89 1/2

I hate to hear that. I have a few scars too, and not just from my learning period. I try to look at each one and figure out what I did wrong. Any ideas what caused the cut?

This little Tula razor has given me the absolute best shaves the last couple of times out. Not sure if it is the shape of the blade or the size, or that I got it sharper than all get out, or what. I am beyond smooth. BBS today; an elusive beast since I have been on the straights. Krylon all the way.
