    i needed a Z2 and found one pretty quickly.

    You do mean 1978, right? If you want to pretend, it is pretty easy to find the other Y1 from 1953.

    And I'd need an X3, provided that Gillette even made DE razors in '77.

    I had a '68 slim...used it once and sold it. It may have been just beginning the whole DE shave thing but have since found the Merkur HD does the trick for me. I do have 3 pristine razors on display in my shave den and one of them would be a TTO Gillette from '68 which will also go unused at least for now. I am temped to give it a whirl in January of '09.

    E4, Baby. It was the first DE I bought since re-discovering DE shaving. In fact, I am going to try to find BYRs for my Dad and brothers and package them up with starter kit materials as a nice Holiday gifts.

    First one born in August 1980.
    Second born in September 1986.
    Please, no disposable bics!
