A new challenge has just arrived. It'll be interesting....

 

I think i have the same brush.
I had planned to grind the collet portion shorter to accommodate a wider knot.
Mine has stress fracture where the knot emmerges from it. Mine looks all metal. It has a semi solid tar for glue. I sepparated the two pieces, set them on their side, the glue oozed right out. Truer to say it oozed far enough for me to break big hunks off a a time. I'm thinking it should be done in a few months. Odd stuff, youd think it would be solid after 50 years.

Mine looks to be about a 15mm or possibly a 16mm knot, but my handle is wood and I'd like to see how much of the top I can take off to also install a wider knot. I'm thinking these small brushes were made for travel, but I could be wrong. I'll be finding out soon.....

My knots came in. I harvested the Omega 49 and put it in this handle.

That blue and white brush looks like the Klenzo B843 I just restored.

 

Actually it's black and white and it's the exact same brush. Mine is nos though. The knot seems a little brittle.

Oops, should've realized the color. Mine also looked blue originally until I got it. it's black. If you go to a different knot, there's plenty of room to enlarge the hole like I did. Unless you want to keep it the original size.
