The Arko Challenge

Hard to guess but I love Arko.

 

I shaved with only Arko for months when I started. I got about a month or more out of each stick. I like the scent, it doesn't leave much slickness behind. For the money I don't know how to beat it. I still keep some around for when I'm feeling nostalgic.

So 75 shaves.

 

Ok - I'm in. Need to order a stick. So it will be a week or so before I can try Arko.

 

I'm in! I guess I'd call Arko reliable, it always gives me great lather. My number is 95.

I'm desperately trying to finish one (grated into bowl - other plans for bowl) and have used just over 7 grams in 14 shaves last month (Now 2 grams left) . So - 130.

 

No fair you are using logic and math
I think that is cheating.

The order confirmation said 3 to 6 days. Should have it before Friday next. Ordered a couple other soaps while I was at it.

 

Very nice! If you'd like to play in the game, submit a guess as to how many shaves my stick will provide.

hard to say since I am not familiar with the soap - but if I were a betting man (and I am) - 94 days!

I pick the word "wad" because that is what my Arko turned into. I mashed it into a bowl but liked the utility of being a shave stick too much so I reformed it into a stickish looking thing that looks like a white turd, or a wad....

 

That has to be the funniest thing I have read all night. Almost needed the memo. Thanks

 

The scary part there is he keeps up with much soap is left in a bowl.......by weight.

 

Veg is not an obsession. Veg chooses us. It's one of this things that cannot be explained to those who are not chosen.

 

Only if I also enquired about the hardness of his water.
Like.. my water in London is much harder, so I use more soap. And I do four passes, not two, so I use more soap. So I should double my estimate to 260 days, but my logic and maths gut feeling tells me not to

 

It's easier by weight than by volume.
TBH.. I don't normally weigh my soaps, but I do I weigh new or pass around razors. But last month, while checking some razors and desperately trying to get rid of that durable Arko soap, I noticed an identical empty bowl which would allow me to determine the amount of Arko left - and curiosity and boredom got the better of me. I promise not to make a habit out of it.
