I need to order a sample of the british leather. Some of these I can't remember. If I had to guess I would say it didn't get spousal approval. Am going to revisit.

It's not necessarily my wife's favorite, but she doesn't mind it. It is a stronger scent, and that is really the part she has the most trouble with.

My wife works every other weekend, so those are the days I get to wear those scents, wear too much of them and bask in my own goodliness. That is why it has taken me so long to go through Ben Franklin.

Stirling Gentleman just might be my absolute favorite scent right now. I don't use it enough, but there is just something about it.

I was told last minute to take the red eye to upstate New York and wanted to have a great shave. Stirling never let's me down and this scent seemed right for travel today

I ranked it as #2 from the 4 samples I received.

Yep. I like it a lot, and my wife really likes it, so it is a definite keeper.

That Glacial MITA did a hell of a number on me this morning - my eyes were tearing throughout the 2nd pass but I enjoyed that freeze so much. I sure hope Rod brings it back this summer!

I think he had mentioned mid-May. That's gonna be a huge order for me

I love it, and would use it all the time, but unfortunately SWMBO is not a fan. It grew on me and may be my favourite scent.

Those are the scents I just use the soap. Most of these scents rinse clean enough that they hardly leave a scent behind, if any.

What's the best description of the Gentleman scent?

Light tobacco flower, vanilla and a little musk. It has a very strong "something" scent when it first goes on. My wife has commented several times when I first come out of the shower asking what it is, in sort of that subtle overall, "not a fan" tone. But after it dries down, she loves it. If I am already wearing it and she comes home, it always gets a compliment. Like every time, which is unusual. Now I just look at her when I come out of the shower and say, "Just wait for it."

If I give her the soap to sniff, she loves it. So something in the AS needs to dry down.

I really wanted to like it. I rubbed a little of the splash on my hand, and it just smelled like my great aunt or something like that. It was not good on me. Perhaps I judged it too quickly. I had a little sample bottle and sent it to Jared because I knew he liked it so much. I should try it again down the road some day. The drying down didn't seem to happen too much.

It probably just blends well with my own unique man stench. Sort of like an old man's pantaloons type of thing.

I want to try one of the new mutton soaps. I'm thinking about getting a sample with my next order. What scent should I get? They all sound a little different - out of the norm.

Besides pure awesomeness? As Jared stated, Tobacco flower, musk and vanilla. Not a burnt pipe type of tobacco, though.
When I picked up my parcel with it and a bunch of other scents, I could smell something from the box. It turned out to be the Gentleman, over the other 4 scents in the box. My first thought was 'Good god'. I shaved with it, and my wife's first, second and third thoughts was 'Good God'. And then it grew on me, and I found myself smelling the container periodically. Now, 3 months later, it just may be my favourite scent. Not by Stirling, but favourite period. Unfortunately, SWMBO still thinks 'Good god'. I use it on her work travel or early morning days now:angelic007:.

Well, we know Electric Sheep is out.

Scots Pine is just what it says. Pine. It is strong, but much more like Christmas tree than Pine Sol type. Excellent if you don't already have a bunch of them.

Glastonbury, just think music festival, Phish concert type o thing. But not like dirty hippy, just flower child party. It has some patchouli, and while it doesn't make your eyes water or anything, you can smell it.

Port au Prince is my new favorite soap. It is vetiver and lemongrass. The lemongrass is pronounced enough that it has a very bright citrusy topnote, and then the vetiver. It is earthy lemons, and it is fantastic.

Pantaloons? That resembled the fragrance of Stirling's Benny Franklin.
