You know it's bad when you happy to get an UGLY brush, but I see history and potential ... One vintage Old Spice shaving mug and what I believe is an early Hardright Lime Beater shaving brush. It's going to get a serious amount of TLC before you see it again, but if all goes well it will be better than new (I like a challenge). May get a Tuxedo or a Cashmere knot. I've been looking for a Lime Beater for a while.
These are from zyshaving and I've gotten some from them before. These three are pure badger knots, which besides boar knots, many vintage brushes seem to have pure badgers for their brushes, and they are 18mm. Many vintage brushes I've seen use 16mm, but if possible, I'll just enlarge the hole for these knots. I also use virginiasheng and iantang19821024, depending on who has what I need at the best price.

Congratulations! Those are beautiful razors and one heck of a cool design. Hope it works well for you.
This is what I come up with on a search for the Lime Beater. Whether or not if it's a different version, I don't know.

This is the one I'm referring But I do have one like the one you posted. I'm re-knotting with a Tuxedo.
Used what was left over from my Ebay bucks, and for a grand total of $1.16, this will be on it's way........
I'm really psyched about this one. Some very interesting history surrounding this razor. The Mark Cross Razor (1913). Sent from my Nexus 5X using Tapatalk
I picked up a Christy as well. It will take injector blades if the Penn blades I have don't work out (Penn should fit both Christy and Mark Cross). Sent from my Nexus 5X using Tapatalk
