Thank you. I feel very lucky to be able to enjoy these luxuries and have a great family. Like they say, it is always good when you wake up on this side of the dirt.

    BEFORE BED SHAVE

    Razor: Merkur 33c
    Blade: Astra SS
    Cream: Derby Lavender
    Brush: Omega S-Brush
    Post Shave: Cocoa Butter Lotion

Absolutely amazing shave tonight. I really grown to love Derby shaving cream, more than all my soaps in fact. It's not as slick as my soaps but it does provide a better cushion for me. I highly recommend Derby shaving cream. And combined with the almighty Astra SS, it's a tough combo to beat !!!

I have that same cologne in my collection. It's a fantastic fresh peppery tobacco mix. I should spray it on again coming up soon.

    Arko Adjustable April!!!!!

    April 3

    Razor - Soviet Consul (9)
    Blade - [IMG] (3)
    Soap - Arko
    Brush - Jayaruh #46
    Post - Alum

The Consul is wide open and it's definitely a wide gap. The blade isn't too wonky, barely more than last night so that's the good news. Hopefully the Voskhod will help keep its comrade in check for tonight.

The Maggard synthetic knot in the JR46 was fantastic for face lathering tonight. I rubbed the stick on my face as usual then dipped the brush and shook it a couple of times. Worked up a really great lather and loaded the brush enough that I did two full passes and squeezed enough lather out for at least two more. Good stuff. I have another synthetic on the way from West Coast.

Two full passes and the baby showed up with only one minor knick on the right side near my ear. There's just a lot of room for error on this setting with this razor. The Russians don't play around when they go aggressive. Felt smooth though and the alum wasn't too bad. Hotter than the first two days but nothing to scream about. Literally or otherwise.

Tomorrow I'll switch to the Gillette Slim and do a Grand Blade Trial shave or two. Blades to be announced. Arko, of course, will still be on the menu.

Brush: - Platypus P&C LE 2017 24mm Fan Manchurian White
Lather: - Stirling Glastonbury Shaving Soap
    Razor: - Merkur 34C
    Blade: - Gillette 7 O'Clock Yellow SharpEdge #4
Post Shave: - T.N. Dickinson Witch Hazel Astringent / Speick Aftershave Splash
Fragrance: - Jean Paul Gaultier Le Male EDT

I've received a package of Stirling Glastonbury shaving soap 5.8oz tub in the mail today just in time for me to start shaving as I'm going out tonight for Lodge, I really enjoy the Glastonbury shaving soap comes in mutton tallow formula and when I open the tub to take a normal sniff before shaving it smell like a very earthy type scent. I'm unable to grab all the scent from this soap all I can smell was Lavender, Oakmoss and Vetiver that it, according to their website I can't smell Patchouli and Frankincense because I have no experience in these two extra scent. The lather again from Stirling is still fantastic is very rich thick and slick soap is still amazes me every time I grab Stirling, Rod and Mandy has made another fantastic soap again in mutton tallow formula of Stirling Glastonbury and it's worth it to have this in your den.

    Unconditional Tuesday
Two new products today - my first from Chattilon Lux. The preshave butter goes on easy and feels good. 13 yielded very good lather as usual for three passes with the Futur. Unconditional Surrender pairs nicley, starting off a bit boozy and sweet, then floral, and finished with tobacco - delicious. I am seriously considering the a matching cologne! Theare is top level, too, leaving my face soft, smooth, and moisturized.
    Prep: Chattilon Lux preshave butter
    Soap: Dr. Jon's 13
    Brush: Brothers Bristles Bronze Shadow
    Razor: Futur (6)
    Blade: voskhod
    AS: Chatillon Lux Unconditional Surrender
