I have been so pleased with the shaves this week. The results have been consistently a notch above my normal results. I attribute this to the wide sweet spot of the Wolfman OC standard gap. The angle is less critical than some of my other razors. Three passes and touch ups provided a wonderful near BBS shave. It is really hard to ask for better results on a work morning. I hope everyone has a great Wednesday.

We almost have some green waking up in the grass, so it has been nice to see how pretty everything is there. We might have some 50's and sunny this coming week, so things will really start to shoot up soon.

Is that what it is called? The cryllic writing I mean? It looked to be in nice shape, and I have been reading some very good things about them. I thought it makes a very nice add to a collection. It is supposed to be shave ready, but in one of the pics I could see that the bevel is pretty uneven. This will probably be my first try at getting one set on a stainless razor.

My first use of Arko in this Arko April. It was a nice shave, but there is definitely something good side and a bad side to this Rapira Swedish blade. I'll toss it tonight, and give another one a go in the near future. I hope everyone has a great day!

    Is that related to Vapoorize?

Highs this week in the high 70s to low 80s. Lots of bad thunderstorms today with possibility of tornadoes.

Thanks Doug. This lineup makes it look like I can take photos. :)

    Thank you Jim.

    Hump Daaaay!!

Today in honor of being able to smell things again I pulled out the Stone Cottage Soapworks "Bay Lime" Shaving Cream. The scent is great and the Omega 10098 whips it up into a great lather.
The Gillette 7 o'clock Black is performing better than I expected. After a subpar start on Sunday it has rebounded nicely. I'm reserving judgement until the GSB goes in this coming Sunday.
I finished up with a cold towel, Dominello Vitali Calming Post Shave Moisturizer and a splash of Clubman VIBR.
Have a great Hump Day my fellow Denizens!

Day 4 of the Canadian Old Type focus, day one with an Astra. More of the same today. Nice lather with the Stirling, nice 3 pass shave plus touch up, similar results. A little bit of redness on my neck, and again am not super close there as well. Will have to keep at it, technique-wise, with this razor. Oh Well, the month is young.
    Have a great day all!

Razor: G3 Gillette Aristocrat Adjustable (4)
    Blade: Gillette Platinum Plus (4)
    Brush: Razorock Plissoft 22
    Cream: KMF fragrance-free
    Post: Alum, Listerine

Not a lot to say again. Back to the Plissoft after a few days with the Cremo horsehair brush. I thought about turning the Slim up to 5, but decided not to mess with a good thing. Two passes to a very nice DFS+.

    Merkur 34C
Feather New Hi Stainless (Day 2)
    The Phoenix Brush
    DIY PSO
    Stirling Executive Man
    Alum/Thayers WH/ Nivea SPSB

Today the wife warned me that she was going to take a shower so I decided to get in very early. grabbed a small dollop of EM and dumped my usual amount of water and made a 'Jared' shiny lather. Worked hard at keeping very light pressure. Did usual 3 passes plus 2 touch ups. Still had lather left. I found the blade to be a little noisier and not as sharp. Drag was definitely greater XTG and ATG. I hate to say it but I think it is showing wear. I needed 2 touch ups to get to BBS. Unfortunately, I am a little irritated and the alum stung a bit today as compared to yesterday. Extra touch ups and the drag I think is what caused it. I find my beard needs a sharp blade and that I tend to wear them out but that is nothing new to me. Cartridges use to wear out quickly too on me. Nice shave but if tomorrow is more of the same, I will not like the lack of longevity form the Feather even though I like the sharpness. With the burn, I did achieve BBS.

I flip-flopped today...my first pass wasn't that good, so I NEEDED the second pass this time. I think I spend too much time wetting the brush before diving it into the soap.
