I have had both, (still have a clone) and to be honest I couldn't tell them apart if the NT Vigour clone wasn't black. It also doesn't have a positive stop on the adjustment, so it can be cranked up to infinity. As if anyone could possibly need it to go past six, lol. It is nearly a devette by that point anyway.

Excellent setup Adam. Good idea using a spreadsheet to track your shaves. I'll have to look into that. It doesn't surprise me that @clint64 also uses that method.
Razor: Gillette Fat Boy Adjustable (G3) 1961 Blade: Personna 74 Tungsten Plus (6) Brush: Elite Razor Tres Amigos Desert Ironwood Beehive w/Envy White Soap: Arko Aftershave: Myrsol F/Extra First day of The Masters shave. Everything worked well together for a 3 pass with a clean up near BBS shave.
Crazy weather this week for the Masters should make things even more interesting. Love the photo with the rain drops. Stay dry Amigo.
Thanks very much Clint. Have you ever heard of a Manchurian Hybrid knot? I've been communicating with Javier of El Druida. Got a call today from the owner of our golf club. He going to let a few of us play Sunday, and the course will open Monday.
No I have never heard of a Manchurian Hybrid knot. I know you are happy about the course opening. Enjoy playing Sunday. You've earned it with the winter you have had.
I left out one thing. After the shave and rinsing out my brush, Dark Chocolate took a hit. The knot came out Maybe I shake too hard!!!
I am pretty sure Jayaruh uses silicon or something less permanent than two part epoxy to set these so that they can be changed, but boy dude, you are hard on knots. Really hot water maybe? I could see that softening up a thin layer of silicone enough to shake free. I have been using an electric glue gun. Never had one come out, but I can steam one loose in seconds.
Look in the Brush thread on the third page for "Repairing Broken Brush". There's some good info there. Best of luck!
Yeah already lived this. I have a thread there on reknotting an Etsy brush!!! Will check with the boss(Jim) on the glue that was used and best way to clean it out. Thanks for the suggestion though.
Nope. Always use Luke warm water. When it came out it looks like the silicone did not dry. It was still wet and sticky. Had this happen when I used the GE silicon caulk as well. Not sure it is all that good for our use. Might need air to harden.
Great organizing skills! It's was a techo triumph for me to stuff all my STOD photos in a folder. Now I'm thinking I need to separate them by year and maybe month. Not the caulk, try the 100% silicone sealant. Mold and mildew resistant & years long warranty.
