This is my new favorite soap. I really, really like this stuff. It wouldn't take many more scents, and I could be a full time sheep soap only guy.
Glacial Obsidian reserved for tomorrow. Today's shave with the Soap Smooth Frozen Cranberry was as cold as hell but not nearly as frigid as what the Obsidian is like!
I really need to order some of this. I grabbed the Glastonbury and like it a lot. The Port Au Prince sounds amazing. Sent from my XT1585 using Tapatalk
I do not know how you can have a more "sweet n sour", yin and yang type scent than the earthy citrus of this scent. Now I need some of the splash.
All I can say is BRRRRRRRRRR! The Glacial Obsidian gave me the best of its lather and a freezing effect which felt almost painful (in a good way, of course!) along with perfect post-shave care. Love that soap so much!
I guess if you look at them with the knowledge that the strop and rehone are a $60 ish dollar value, it isn't a bad deal all in all. It just isn't a great deal if you have access to a forum for help and guidance, imo. I guess I have enough faith in Rod that the pics of these show the general appearance of these razors, but I have looked at a lot of Roctraitor's listings, and he sells some seriously user grade stuff. Again not that the prices are out of line for that but I personally wouldn't buy one without seeing more pics. To call some of them restores seems like a stretch. To me they are more of just an e-bay rehone job. No way would I pay the extra for the upgraded strop tho. I have one of the basic strops, and it is okay, but I wouldn't buy it again if I had a do over, and the premium strop packs a really premium price for what it is. Better options out there IMO, for the same money or a few dollars more. Again, it is not really my business to care one way or another, I just don't think I would recommend these to a forum member if they asked me, and I am not used to having that response about anything Stirling. If you are a customer without the benefit of some good forum help it is probably a fine way to go.
