Here's the setup for Friday morning:

    L'Oreal Men Expert Facial Wash
    Razorock Plissoft 26mm Monster
    Super Speed Shark day 5
    Edwin Jagger Menthol SC
    Lucky Tiger AS Cream
Folsom and Company Black Powder AS Splash

Haven't used this EJ Menthol cream in a long time and it's good stuff - decent scent, lathers easily, and it's about as cooling as Proraso Green. The Lucky Tiger and the Black Powder are both a great finish!

    A good weekend in advance!

-Gillette Old Style/Scotch & Stowe Handle

    -Restored Klenzo B843 Boar Brush
    -Dickinson's Witch Hazel
-Love My Skin Barber Shop 1920's Soap
    -Aqua Velva Musk After Shave

Didn't keep track of how many shaves I've used on this blade, but probably the last. A little bit of tugging, but still managed a two pass with some touch up for a nice BBS shave.

    TOBACCO TUESDAY

Prep: MLSW sandalwood pre shave butter
    Razor: Gillette Ball End Tech
    Blade: Gillette Black
    Brush: Maggard 24mm synthetic

    Soap: WSP Blackbeard
Post: peach Thayers WH, HEV Cognac & Cuban Cigars Balm

Had a bit of a rough shave, the Blackbeard has a wonderful scent but the lather seemed to be lacking cushion or something. Had some irritation and a few nicks. Not a terrible shave but not as close as it could have been.

    WEDNESDAY SHAVE

    Prep: Razorock Mister Joe
    Razor: Gillette Ball End Tech
    Blade: Gillette Black
    Brush: Fine angel hair synthetic
    Soap: Soap Smooth War Blend
    Post: aloe Vera gel

This shave was much better than the day before. The War Blend has a nice menthol touch with a cologne type scent. Awesome suds, really like the performance of Soap Smooth soaps and This one in particular. Finished with a BBS shave.

    THURSDAY SHAVE

    Prep: Gustafsons Woodlands
    Razor: Wilkinson Sword Classic
    Blade: Bic chrome (1st shave)
    Brush: Maggard 26mm synthetic
    Soap: Grandstaff Amyris
Post: peach Thayer's WH, Clubman Vanilla (iced)

Very smooth shave this afternoon. Ran out of 4G so the phone is way too slow to upload any pictures. The Grandstaff soap whipped up a nice lather in the copper bowl. Not sure I Care for this razor/blade combo, this razor is on the mild side, but was a bit harsh with this particular blade. It's funny how different blades performance depends on the razor being used. Still managed to get a smooth shave with just one minor nick, so I'm happy with the results. Hope everyone had a great shave!

Continuing this week retrying soaps that did not blow my skirt up the first time. Today was Pre de Provence No 63. The scent still is just to much perfume for me. Also the lather I find is not very slick and a bit drying to the skin. Putting it back in the cabinet rather than out with my usual high performing soaps. The Merkur 34c with a Rapira Platinum Lux blade, Omega boar, Captain's Choice bowl, Nivea balm and a healthy splash of good old Barbasol still made for a good shave. When you throw some Barbasol on your face - seems like it makes everything alright again.

    Razor: Edwin Jagger d89
    Brush: Doug Korn D7V
    Lather: Mike's Hungarian Lavender

As always Mike's soap performed like a champ! Every now and then I take the old d89 for a spin and it always delivers a great shave but with so many fine tools to choose from it gets overlooked far too often.

    Have a great day guys!

Tonight's shave was with a Pre-Civil War Wade & Butcher 1830-1837. It is a fantastically sharp razor, that gave a BBS 2 pas shave. What can I say, but, I could wish for nothing better from this razor. This was from my "A" List of razors, that I own.

    Razor- Wade & Butcher 1830-1837
    Brush- B400 By Tom
    Soap- AKRO/Vintage Avon Spicy scented
    Aftershave- Vintage Avon Spicy
