Nice shave again with this combination. Mitchell's is a great soap. One deliberate pass with touch-up and I'm good to go. I'm in Montgomery, Alabama now and have been the past couple of days. The Alabama All-State Band met this week and rehearsed and will give a concert this afternoon. It's been a fun couple of days.

Midway is a great airport. O'Hare not so much. There are direct flights from Birmingham, AL to Midway that take about 90 minutes. Short and sweet. I have been to Chicago a lot for work events and conferences. Only went through O'Hare once and will try to avoid it from here on out.

 

Much appreciated, Frank, but if I took something nice in return, there would be pressure on me to make something that actually looked professional...
As for the knot, I think I'll probably look to make an APShave Co order in conjuction with this if there are folks who do want a tuxedo or cashmere knot. One buy will cut down on shipping.

I agree totally, I can't stand O'Hare. I fly Midway whenever possible. Since I prefer Southwest, it usually works out.

Day 13 of 30 days of Henckel straights

Yesterday I switched from ABC to MDC because the lather is not as critical as it was when I first started using a straight. So, I will be switching soaps as the mood fits me. Today I used Provence Sante.

Another day with the 7/8 Henckel, another 2 pass shave, and another 90% BBS and 10% DFS. At the risk of sending myself to the hospital tomorrow with a 7 inch slice in my face, I will say that I think I am getting the hang of using straights.

April 8, 2017- Interlude

Razor: Schick J1 Injector
Blade: Personna Hair Shaper (1)
Brush: Razorock Plissoft 22
Post: Alum, Listerine

I'm probably going to go with the Schick Adjustable for next week, but wanted to take a moment and pull out my favorite Injector (so far), the humble J1. This was a bit of a test run as I just started using the Personna blades last month and, then, only in the M3.

Thoughts? I really enjoyed today's shave (not that I usually don't). The J1 seems to pair nicely with the Personna and I think, in generalely , I prefer them more than the Chick blades. I definitely heard the clicks of a baby dolphin in the room.

On final thought... I definitely prefer Listerine as a post-shave than as a part of a dental hygiene regiment.

 

Chicago will do that to anybody.
