Yes it does but the leather and tobacco stand out more. I found the soap to smell more "clean", the AS really brings out the intended scents. Plus, the scent lasts all day
I do have to go ATG, I've tried several slight WTG passes. It's almost like in addition to being spiral it's also more coarse some how.
Can you do a couple WTG and then ATG when it is knocked down, or do all the passes make it worse? Just thinking out loud. Some people just can't do it every day, or sometimes even at all. You know you can do it, just a matter of trying different approaches until you hit on one that works for you. Honestly once I figured out beard growth direction, and was trying to hit the perfect shave, it probably, took me a year and a half to get it figured out to where there are zero problems. Course I am a slow learner.
This reminds me of Reagan's famous quote of what we all fear... someone who arrives in the office and says "I'm from the government and I'm here to help." Nowadays shipping out five dollars worth of ice cream cost over $100 in hazmat fees if I put it on dry ice. Having said all that, I'm pretty sure I can guess your favorite flavor!
Actually I hadn't even thought of that, but we stopped at a malt shop yesterday and I did order a strawberry cheesecake shake....... This damnable razor is my head, changing me somehow.
April 9 Z3 Gillette Super Speed Voskhod (1) Simpson Chubby 2 Super Jabonman Eufros Oriental Breeze Alum, Thayer's Lavender witch hazel, unrefined shea butter, and Aramis EDT This was my first DE shave in more than two weeks. In two passes, I had a great near-BBS shave with my 1954 Super Speed. The Voskhod blade was super smooth. I hope you all had a relaxing Sunday!
I also need to go ATG. I have coarse whiskers to so I do WTG, XTG then XTG opposite direction then ATG. I can. Ow do this without irritation, doing ATG on the 3rd pass would leave me with irrritation.

April 9, 2017... - Schick E3 with Schick Injector Blade, 3rd shave - Simpson Case Best Badger Brush - Maggard's Sweet Orange PSO - Mariana Soap Cottage Hometown Hero Shaving Soap - Alum + Margarita's in the Arctic Balm for the post So since yesterday was Saturday, I decided to skip shaving again. Which again gave me two days worth of stubble to work with. Interestingly over the last four days, I've discovered that the hair on the left side of my neck doesn't quite grow the same as the right. Not only does the hair appear to grow in a different direction, but I think there are fewer of them. With two days stubble you can definitely see a difference. It is like hair is missing. The shave itself went smoothly. WTG fine, ATG one nick under the lower lip, and touchups one small weeper. Still haven't figured out how to stretch my jawline out (the underside of it is giving me fits), and the shave along my neck wasn't near as good as it should have been, but I'm not going for a BBS so will let it slide. My neck area is definitely something that shows irritation as the alum confirms, but it isn't searing or lasting. The big thing regarding this shave is that I decided to use a local handmade soap I found down here on the Gulf Coast, and posted about here. With the work week a full 5 days, that will be 5 more full shaves out of it. Will the blade last that long? Stay tuned...
