I am glad you like it. I always worry about my polishing skills, or lack there of. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro
I felt bad to refuse him. He and I to this day are very close friends. When I lived in Thessaloniki we were next door neighbors!
I recall the photos of a B-400 during it's construction. Considering it starts as a solid ingot of aluminum and arrives higher polished that I ever achieved with a Rubberset 400 I'd say you skills are right up there Tom!
After Haifa, Israel where I was born Thessaloniki is my second home. I still have extremely close ties to this city. The Π.Α.Ο.Κ. (P.A.O.K) sports club's chairman is a dear friend of mine. The club's soccer team was after me to play for them and I did for a few games.
I forgot to mention - last year when I visited a couple of relatives of mine who still live in Thessaloniki, my wife and I were greeted at the airport not only by my aunt and uncle, but by 28 friends of mine who I've been in close contact with for years. It was a very emotional moment for me. Not only did my aunt and uncle make a huge fuss over the wife and I, but my friends did also. Tears came to my eyes when we greeted each other!
Before WW2 there was a BIG Jewish community in Thessaloniki and also in cities like Kavala, Kastoria, and Volos. Now the Jewish population of Greece is around 5,000. They're almost all gone.
If not for Archbishop Damaskinos and many other Greeks who tried to save the community it would have been completely wiped out.
I feel like @Darkbulb has been rubbing off on you Mark. You both come up with interesting little gadgets.
