Technique! It's the new insanity? None of them appreciate The Veg so I waited until they scooted. I've grown accustomed to living my bachelor lifestyle. Alone, but not lonely. Having twin 6 year old girls, and a 1-1/2 year old underfoot is exhausting! It's been a while since my children were kids.
I enjoy living alone too. I understand what your saying. My technique is not insanity. I expect the same results from it...not different.
I hear ya. At least several just to hold me down. Or one very large one. Well, if she was particularly beautiful and asked my nicely. (Cue PN's Truckstop Ladies?)
Arko Adjustable April!!!!! April 11 Razor - 1959 (E4) Gillette Fatboy (3) Blade - (1) Soap - Arko Brush - Wolf Whiskers Custom Silvertip Post - Alum Onward and forward to the Fatboy for a few shaves. Starting with the Lord Platinum since the two Super Stainless blades treated me so well. The Wolf got the call for the brush and it was fantastically soft and luxurious as it powered the Arko into some fine lather. I'm finding my tastes in brushes shifting a bit. For ease, speed and overall volume of lather I'm leaning toward the synthetics. For the most luxurious feel it's gotta be the Silvertip. The Boars are still functional and nice but I find them sliding into third place overall. Two passes and touch ups to a very nice near-BBS. The feel was a bit less smooth than the stainless blades but not enough to consider it a problem. Just a difference. Nice audible feedback and a great shave with no issues. Considering this is my long night of shaving with the head shave first it was nice to have this one go so well. It was beginning to feel like I'd been in there awhile. Back to the salt mines tomorrow. Hope your week is treating you well!
Too tired for pics tonight. Or straights for that matter. Quick shave with the Supply and I am ready for bed.
April 11 (Tuesday ) - creams focus Schick Krona / Topaz Platinum ( 2) Alluminati Envy White brush Palmolive shave cream Alum and Thayers Witch Hazel Astringent Aftershave Tonight it was Palmolive, another longtime standard shaving cream. This particular tube is the original formula but was made in India (acquired with the Godrej cream and a bunch of handsoap from an Indian eBay seller). It lathers well and has a nice face feel afterwards, which isn't surprising since two of the main ingredients are glycerin and coconut oil. No strong recognizable scent, either good or bad. It's not a top tier luxury product but it's not crap either. So far, I seem to have acquired a lot of good basic creams, none that really stand out yet, but no more total duds like the Burt's Bees Natural Shave Cream (latherless) that I threw in the garbage a few months ago. The Envy White badger knot in the Alluminati brush continues to be a real treat when facelathering. It retains the heat from the water so it is both soft and warm on the face. Nice! The combination of the Palmolive cream smoothing the way for the Krona and the Topaz Platinum blade brought me to a very near BBS with no complaints from the alum. The Topaz Platinum blade was smoother this time than yesterday. They usually are smoother on the second shave before turning into total junk somewhere around the third. So it went into the blade bank after tonight's shave and I will start again with a fresh one tomorrow.
The girls are fun to be around. Having conversation with a six year olds is interesting. My grandson needs to get past the "Uhh, uhh" part of being his age and start using his words. He oh so intelligent, picking up ideas just by watching, then imitating what people around him are doing. Only seeing them every three or six months they change so much in a short time.
We were discussing how to hold down Fuzzy and shave his legs. But the moments passed. Another opportunity will present it's self.
My arms were staring to look silly with bald patches and I don't have enough back hair so I have been using my legs to test my edges.
