Shavette's are Sith Lord deep into the dark side. Just short of shaving with a popsicle stick shavette.
Coolio. I have a handle for a Lord plastic shavette coming. I found the blades but the handle is MIA. Gonna be some fun times then.. Darth Fuzzy....I kinda dig it.
April 12, 2017 Colonial Razors “The General” Feather Pro (5) WDC-8 with Druida Manchurian Reef Point Test Depth Cool Water EDT Since the Dragon's Blood is done and gone, a mid-week lineup change is in order. Sticking with Reef Point Soaps brings in Test Depth in the tallow version. Test Depth is a take on Cool Water with a scent described as notes of citrus, floral, vetiver and amber. I just get a clean crisp citrus and vetiver scent that I find very pleasing. Scent strength was very good with the scent lasting throughout the shave. The soap and EDT were gifts from my wife and daughters. As expected the WDC-8 loaded and lathered the Test Depth easily. I went with a traditional 3 pass shave, WTG, XTG and ATG, followed by touch ups which ended in a wonderful near BBS. The shaves this week have been some of the smoothest shaves I have ever managed with an Artist Club razor. I finished up with a splash of witch hazel with menthol followed by the matching Cool Water EDT. I hope everyone has a great Wednesday.

SOTD April 12, 2017 Blade: Chinese Schick Razor: Schick E2 injector Brush: JR #60 synthetic Lather: Chiseled Face Ghost Town Barber Post: Witch hazel splash, Ghost Town Barber aftershave WTG, touch-up First use of the E2 injector. The first pass was a little rough. A new blade was already in there but I put in yet another new blade after the first pass and it smoothed out. Either a bad blade or it ran across the stops on insertion. Either way the touch-up pass was much smoother. I agree with others that the E injector feels more aggressive than the other Schick models. Good lather and nice feel from the splash. Good shave in the end. Have a great day!
Great filter effect. How does the 40's SS compare to the Aristocrat Jr? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
12 April 2017 Hump Daaaay Blade/Soap Focus Shave So this morning after yesterday's Chernobyl-like disaster I went with a soap I've lathered well before; Razorock XXX. Things went much better. Nice peaks on the 10098, slick, and it smelled great. I'm gonna finish out the week with it. Next week I'll get back on the Catie's Bubbles horse and ride that baby. 2.5 pass DFS. Massaged in some Cella A/S(which I really like) and my day was off to a much better start than yesterday. Have a great one!!
Day 17 of 30 days of Henckel straights I appears to me that every time I get a BBS I slice up my face the following day. 4 cuts today, all due to inattention to detail. However, it is a very good shave in terms of closeness and irritation. April 12 Gillette Old Type w Polsilver (4) TGN Synthetic/Mahogany Handle First Canadian Soap Co. Maximo Gomez Cuba Thayers Unscented Stirling Gentleman balm Day 9 of the Canadian Old Type focus, day 3 with the Polsilver SI. Another nice lather with the First Canadian soap. I've said it a few times before, but the lathering qualities, retention and release of this brush -especially for the price of the knot- are exceptional. Went for my more traditional 3 pass shave with a quick touchup on my jawline. Did without the ATG on the neckline. Resulted in a DFS. Will switch out the Polsilver for a Voskhod tomorrow morning. Put on some Gentleman for a great start to the morning. It is a scent that SWMBO has never warmed up to. I thought 'Who cares' and put it on, anyway...right after she walked out the door for work Have a great day all!
