Opposite reaction from me. I had consigned my Merkur 510 L to the 'meh' box. This initiative made me have another go and, boy, am I glad I did! I got this razor in my early days of DE shaving and my technique just wasn't up to it. All change now: super smooth shaves with the Super Iridium blade and I'll be sorry to change on Monday. However, I've now got the encouragement to try out one or two other non-Gillette razor. Watch this space!

Back in. LUX 3 piece Dollar Store blade Arko Jayaruh #137 WH Clubman The second shave with the #137 synthetic went good. I got a good lather out of the face lather with the ARKO. The Lux is a nice smooth shaver also.

So, today was the last one for the Merkur 510/Super Iridium combo, but Merkur now back in the rotation: I loved the shaves! This week I shall be staying with the Plisson Blaireau brush and the Valobra Purissima Menthol shave soap. However, the hardware will be this: Hoffritz OC paired with a Rapira Swede.

Do you prefer the long blade in the Dovo? I never could get good shaves with it in mine. I use the half DE.
