Just joined and was scavenging local antique markets. Picked up this 61 super speed flare.

From what everyone is saying may have go back tomorrow and grab the other pieces I saw.

It looks like several fine examples of great Gillette razors.

 

Whats a gopd price on an adjustable on ebay? Seems like everytime I dont bit they stay in the 20s when I bit they blow up

I actually look for razors that look rough but cleanable, this slim looked bad and had no bids until last minute but I got it for 19 including shipping. Here are the after pics


I cleaned this with dish soap and polished with barkeepers friend, still needs a little detail work but I'm good with it to use as my dedicated head shaver

 

Very nice! Thats the exact razor I was looking for when I went hunting this weekend. What I found cleaned up nicely but I didnt see a single adjustable. Ill keep my eyes on ebay.

Has anybody seen one of these before?

 

I hauled an injector. (I gave the story in a different thread)

 

It's in really nice shape David. I've got several of my favorite vendors at the fleamarket on the look out for an injector.

 

Yesterday (Sunday) I was putting on my shoes and someone banged on my front door like the joint was on fire. Of course they got my attention. I swung open the door ready to rumble.
No one was there???
Under the welcome mat was 2 packages.
I ordered a Dymo label maker and an extra cartridge. I didn't know it had shipped, ordered on Saturday.

 

Now, that's what I call quick turnaround!

 

Yes, I have several. They came in Gillette sets.

 

That's what I thought. Were they for expended blades or to hold new ones?

 

Depends on the set, some sets had one for new blades and one for used blades. Others just had one

 

This just arrived. For some reason I like the French frame backs.

 

Usually for new blades. Some sets came with two so there was one for used blades.

Today I received Chatillon Lux 2017 Limited Edition Blackberry Blossom Bay Aftershave and matching L&L Grooming Shave Soap. I will need to try them soon this week. I usually like to try new soaps on the weekend to spend more time with them and experiment a bit, but I may break these in sooner. I am not sure the scent is for me, but I learned to lather and try soaps before passing judgement. This is my first Bay Rum based scent so I am really interested in seeing how I will like it.
