First try of this soap and AS and it's fantastic. Great cushion and glide, easy to lather and the scent is wonderful. I'm impressed. Two easy passes this morning, barely missed the baby but the alum was completely silent. It's been almost 5 hours since I shaved and the scent is still going strong. Have a great day folks!

Another quick two pass morning shave. This razor pulls it off without issue, well worth the $15 investment, and it has indeed earned a spot in the dream team

It's easily been over two years since I've used JoAnna's magnificent Iced Subzero soap because for so long I've been hung up on the Glacials. I could never forget such a treasure - its lather is awesome, I love the scent, and its menthol power is excellent. Its skincare is also very soothing and comforting. I'll let the Rubby Dubby Doo give me an extra high velocity freeze afterwards! ;) :D

I just got this Leviathan set, and the Derby blades were given as a sample. Since I had never seen these blades before, I decided to try them - big mistake. My neck is a wreck with several weepers and some burn. I'm undecided on the scent - I some sweetness to start, then strong coffee.
    Prep: Chatillon Lux butter
    Soap: B-M Leviathan
    Brush: Brothers Bristles Bronze Shadow
    Razor: Futur
    Blade: Derby Premium [IMG]
AS: B-M Leviathan, B-M Reserve Cool, PAA Gondolier balm.

    Love My Skin Spearmint Soap

Aqua Velva Ice Blue After Shave

I guess that after watching "Battle of the Bulge", it kinda influenced me to use this razor today. Loaded with a Lab Blue, I was rewarded with a very smooth and comfortable BBS shave.

Wowsers. That's weird. I tried a Derby in the Futur as my first blade in it and my shave each time was nice. But I took advice on technique from a bunch of Futur videos to let the weight of the razor do the cutting and go easy on the neck. I also followed advice to use the least aggressive setting of "1". The Derby blade is not as sharp as some other blades but seems to be a smooth blade. It worked for me in the Futur in a balanced way. I think the respect I gave the Futur's aggressive nature spared me a sore neck. I more recently tried a Voskhod blade and it didn't seem to glide during the shave as well and I felt a very minor amount of resistance that I didn't feel from the Derby blade. I didn't expect that. From everything I read, the Voskhod should be 'the' type of blade to favor in a Futur, provided the technique and experience with it is perfected. The Futur is not a forgiving razor for sure. Blade has made a bigger difference in it than in any other razor I have shaved with.

Indeed. I most often use voskhods, I just tried this blade today. I'm going back to trusty voskhod tomorrow.

Great shave from the General. It's a bit heavy for me due to some grip issues that I have with my hands, but only noticeable if I spend too much time with touch ups. The result is excellent, very smooth. The M&F/Sears brush is a stunner and LGC may be my favorite scent, along with great B&M performance. What a shave.
