Tonight's shave was with a "Second String" razor, promoted to "First String". This is a big old Japanese blade, that works very well, despite the weathered looks. It was one of my first rescue razors. It's right up my alley. The promotion happened because I touched the edge up on the SB Arkie Progression. Very smooth 2 pass shave. BBS results, without nicks, cuts, or weepers.

Razor- Japanese "Cherry 92" Best Steel.
    Brush- B400 By Tom
    Soap- ARKO/Avon Spicy
Aftershave- Vintage Avon Spicy. Yum Yum Yum.

Touched it up on 8 K and 16 K Sharpton Glass.Than did 50 Laps on J-Nat to soften the edge .Followed by 50 on Linen and 100 on Leather. The MK 10 provided a wonderful BBS Shave in two passes.Love the balance and feel of this blade.

An old G Johnson Co Sheffield straight from the mid 1800's. Just completed minor restoration (see before and after in restoration forum). Came fuller than a Scotsman's wit :D Honed up very nicely. Looks like a little toe modification in the past. Ended up with a close, comfortable shave.

Da comrades, the Motherland sings her glory when you shave with one of these. :happy036: No kidding. This is a 1956 Extra from the ZTV factory. It has to be the sharpest edge I've ever put to my face. With a shallow angle it made shaving easy peasy and whacked those whiskers like no one's business. But, come in a little too steep and you'll know it immediately - she likes to taste blood. No messing around with this one. Do what she wants or pay the price. Obey and you'll never doubt her. :)

Tonight's shave was with a razor that has moved up top be a "First String Razor". I touched it up with a Surgical Black Arkansas Progression stone, and it was magnificent. I had a 2 pass shave that was BBS and it slid through the beard like butter. No Nicks, Cuts, or Weepers. Only Smooooth goodness. You've got to love these Arkansas Stones.

Razor- "The Gong" Extra Hollow Ground
Brush- Burma Shave Boar. Surprise, no hair shedding tonight.
    Soap- ARKO/Avon Spicy
    Aftershave- Pinaud Clubman
