Awesome April Days 19-20 Two passes to DFS...that's twenty Voskhod edges depleted, with ten excellent shaves remaining. Hero Finish, because it's an average Thursday. I am trying to make this Arko stick go away, but it's going to take a while. Per @Fly2High (Frugal Frank) I will be posting stick progress photos each Sunday. This Parker has been a great experience so far, and continues to be very easy to use. After a couple of days of 81f, we are cold and rainy out with temps heading to near freezing again tonight. Other than that...all is quiet in Colorado. Have a Fantastic Friday!
@wristwatchb If you see anything funny under @Shave Fu 's avatar, let him know that my lawyers are denying all knowledge.
Chris, that's awesome! It's simply amazing that Shavette Fu's Custom Title showed up completely at random like this! I have data to support the chances of this happening at 1 in a septillion! Trust me, I have the data. If needed, let your attorneys know that I'll testify as an expert witness.
Smart. That was an offer for service. 18% juice on merchandise, plus annual fees, is usually how these things work.
It would, of course, be a Russian novel. Something like One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest if it had been written by Alexandr Solzhenitsyn: Our hero tells the exact truth and winds up immured in a psychiatric gulag for 20 years. Then, when it's finally discovered that he wasn't crazy all along, he's immured there for another 20 years to cover it up. When he's eventually released as an old man, he really is crazy, and he needs psychiatric help... And the true deep horror of it - and the true reason he finally snapped and really did go insane - all those years while he was institutionalized, he was forced to shave with carts and goo...
That is because compared to those really big, razor sharp, samurai Bowie knife contraptions that you deftly shave with on a regular basis, this thing looks like a peashooter. For some of the rest of us it appears more like an instrument of bloodletting. (And I mean this in the most humble "I want to be like you when I grow up" way possible!)
Last couple of days.... -C. Lutters 5/8 -Kent BK12 -Stirling Lime -Stirling Black Pepper Lime -Boker King Cutter 5/8 -Simpson Classic 2 -Stirling Glacial Lemony Orange -Stirling Orange Chill A couple of nice cool shaves at the end of some long days. Have been busy enough I can barely keep up with you guys. You all talk a lot.
In the end, our hero joins a shave forum, makes other deviant friends, and posts regularly about his shaving experiences with them...
Jared, those are a couple of nice looking straight razors. I'm planning to try mine on Saturday. It's a PRC razor that I picked up a year or so ago and haven't used much. Hopefully, I haven't messed up the edge with my newbie stropping technique. Guess I'll find out...
