A couple of my favorites from Clint Smith.

  3. Ignoring the politics completely, regardless of which side of what issue they were arguing, gentlemen in the English-speaking world from the 17th to early 20th century really knew how to give an memorable oration. In many cases, completely off the cuff too. And often for hours at a time. Impressive talent.

  11. Gunsite originally belonged to Jeff Cooper, didn't it? Did Clint Smith take it over after the Colonel died?
  12. Clint smith is Thunder Ranch not Gunsite.
I mixed up the two. I do not know if he taught at Gunsite.

  19. Well, at that time I had four yrs. on the Job and we at that time were only qualifying once a year. So I spent my own money and went out to Arizona. Class was only 15 people. There were 7 cops; two from San Antonio PD, two from some timber company that had police powers on it's property and two agents from the Georgia Bureau of Investigation. The other eight were doctors or pharmacists. I brought my duty gun(S&W Model 15 .38) and duty rig. The two San Antonio cops brought their .41 City wheelguns. Everybody else had .45's. Col. Cooper taught all the classroom plus he did come out to the range too. It was a great week!
