You deprive the general public of donuts and mass hysteria or worse results. He was just thinking of public safety.
I would have said to the cop "Y'know, some of us tell you guys the TRUTH". Course that woulda had me in the slammer for a night.
The Stirling soap helped make for such a nice shave today-may have to adjust my "Birthday Blitz" a bit.
If it says Moscow or St. Petersburg on the tuck then try it out. Some are slightly better than others, but I've never found a crap blade among them. Neal and I also like Bic Chrome Platinum blades from Greece although they sometimes take a bad rap from others. In the end find a couple of blades you really like, stock up a boatload of them and you'll be one of the best shaved men in the zombie apocalypse.
Razor: Gillette Executive Gold Adjustable Fat Boy (F 1) 1960 Blade: Personna 74 Tungsten Plus (21) Brush: El Druida Te Vigilo w/Manchurian Soap: Jeeves Soap Turkish Bath Aftershave: Fine Platinum Still getting good shaves with this blade. Three passes with a touch up for a very close to a BBS shave.
One less thing to worry about when the bullets start flying. (Since zombies are already dead, the shooting is just for fun, right? I never quite understood the point otherwise.)
To shave, or not to shave? That was my question yesterday. So I was traveling the last two days, giving me two days worth of nice stubble. I was expecting to get home and be able to take my time and relax... no joy. My grass wasn't mowed in three weeks, my aquarium was cloudy due to overfeeding (food on the bottom), and none of my pond fish were showing themselves. Though tadpoles galore were in it. So I do some aquarium maintenance, and the water looks a bit better today. Went to mow, and all my gas cans were empty. So went to the gas station and filled them up, went back and started on the front. In some places grass was easy a foot tall, but the wheels are stuck so I just kinda tip the mower back to get it when it is high.... manage to get the front and back done (back was definitely a jungle) trying to beat the ran... So after all that I wasn't sure if I wanted to shave or not. I needed to. I had two days growth which is about all I can stand. Three days and I definitely start feeling like a hippy. But I was also tired and didn't know if I could give it the attention a good shave deserves. But I decided to go for it. So I'm back home and take my shower and then go to shave. I no longer have the counter space I had in the hotel, back to my pedestal sink. On the plus side I can get right up to the mirror and see exactly what I'm doing. - Schick E3 Razor - Maggard's 24mm Synthetic Brush - Conk's PSO - Stirling Pharaoh's Dreamsicle - Thayer's Lemon Witch Hazel So I decided to use some old kit, mainly the bigger brush. It was definitely different having used a badger for the last three weeks. And I definitely understand now about badger's retaining heat. When I went to apply the later, COLD! Lathering with the synthetic was also different than the badger. And I actually had some trouble. First time I've ever had lather be too dry which I noticed on the first pass. I splashed some more water on and went to relather before even finishing the first, and well the shave was less than satisfactory. After some unusual tugging I decided to call it quits with two so-so passes. But I looked clean shaven. Running my fingers around, I still needed some touching up and remember some used witch hazel for that. So I splashed some on and went to work, and I feel like it did a good job. Definitely at the back of the jaw where I usually have problems. Will need to do it a few more times to be sure, but so far it has my approval. No other post actions, no alum or balm/lotion. Happy Friday everyone.
Everything he said, including the Bic Chrome. I also like 7:00 Blacks from India. Very close to a Feather in sharpness. Those are another one that seem to have a love em or hate em crowd base.
