Whatever you guys come up with, I'm sure we'll all be happy to oblige. I also would propose that it would be a nice gesture for each of us to consider voluntarily PIFing something from our den as a token of appreciation for what he is doing. I know he doesn't want anything in return, because of the additional pressure it might put on him, but there is always the option of PIFing something crappy if he botches the job on any of the handles. See, no pressure @jtspartan. I'm here to help!

I guess vintage in that they do not make it anymore. Not sure how old this stuff is though. Maybe someone knows when they stopped making it.

Thanks Keith. I appreciate the helpful info! I have a cheap paddle strop (leather on both sides) and some CrOx paste that I picked up on Amazon for my pocket knives. I will try that before the next shave on my razor. I may also look into the stone. Thanks!

 

I think it's fun to still own something that isn't made anymore. As I've said a few times, Rise International stopped producing its white Super Foam, in favor of a smaller blue, but I still have 5 of the larger whites left. Call me Grandpappy!!

I am getting more comfortable using the shavette. My shaves aren't very close when compared to my DE shaves, but are getting much more comfortable. Still doing two passes North to South for a comfortable irritation free shave.

 

I do this at times as well. Soft touch, good results.
