    VDH Luxury
    Bunny B-400 Boar
Wade & Butcher Spanish Tip 5/8
    CWR, Asma Alum Block
    Thayer's Lemon WH
    Pinaud Clubman

The VDH Luxury Shaving Soap face-lathered well with my Bunny B-400 Boar brush. I did two passes the Wade & Butcher Spanish Tip 5/8 razor, and with the exception on one little cut, I ended up with a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse and alum block, I finished off with Thayer's Lemon WH and then Pinaud Clubman AS. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...

My Friday shave getting ready to go out: I just finished shaving with Williams for the first time. I did a bowl lather using my Captain's Choice bowl. The rest of the shave set up was some of my usuals - Merkur 34c with a new Rapira PL blade, SOC boar brush, and finished with Nivea balm and Cella after shave. I found that Williams easily produced a good lather. I loaded the brush for about 30 seconds and then went to the bowl for another 45 seconds or so. I did have to add a bit more water during the process than I do with many of my artisan soaps. But still the lather was thick and still moist. More than enough lather for three passes plus touch up. Washed a good amount of excess lather down the drain. I did not find Williams to dry out as some have said. The shave was good. I did not find Williams to be very "slick" especially compared to Stirling, Captain's Choice, and Barrister & Mann - which are my mainstay soaps. I think the lack of "slickness" causes some folks to equate that sensation to a drier soap. I don't. The scent of Williams is that of soap - not bad but nothing to get excited about. All in all, for a shave soap that cost a buck - it certainly is one that folks should try. Glad I did.

I bought the Maca Root cream early down the rabbit hole journey. I liked it so much, I bought 2 more tubs 50% off. I didn't have any idea that I'd become a bit crazy wanting to try everything and that having 3 of something was a bit much! At least I enjoy it and my younger boy has been getting into wet shaving. He will probably take a tub before long! He already has my Blackbird and has been enjoying it after giving the 34C a whirl for a bit.

Tonight's shave was with a big chunky wedge. It was one of my rescue razors, that looked almost hopeless. It's now a First String shaver. I had a fine 2 pass shave, that was silent, and left a near BBS shave. Excellent old razor. BTW, I'm doing further fixes on the cracks near the pivot pin. The scales were in pieces when I was working on it originally.

I noticed you have been using the Alpha regularly. How do you like it? How aggressive is it? I would like to here more about this cool looking razor, but have seen very little write up on it.
