Off and on, I've been looking for a birth year and quarter razor (10-31-57), but it didn't have to be in totally great shape. But at the same time, I didn't want it really cruddy. Looks like I have found one, as it will be re-finished in Halloween colors, a deep orange and black. Couldn't pass it up for $13.00 shipped and dipped into my Paypal credit.

I'm predicting that day for my Local Gent. Shave Soap. I didn't know LG was in California,thought it was in Texas for some reason. But my shave soap is flyin' cross-country!

 

I ran across an ad on Facebook for a new aftershave from PAA. They have never had anything that I had to try, until today. For anyone who has lived in the southwest, you know the smell of Creosote after a rain. So many childhood memories with this smell, and all the other Wet Eart smells seem wrong with out Creosote.

Seemed silly to only order an aftershave, so I also got a set of his Sun Down, which is a clone of Gillette 's Sun Up, which I have a bottle of. It's not really new, since I have the scent, right?

 

That Creosote scent sounds intriguing

I have never found anything that actually matches the scent. I will be excited if this is works.

Is that the same scent as comes off railroad ties & fishing docks when the sun gets them hot and sticky in the summertime?

No, very different scent. To me it smells like home. To my wife it smells like dusty hot rocks.
