Yeah when I was just messing around with the razor, I found that without a mirror it felt more natural.

I received PIF style a WD High Mountain badger knot from Clint @clint64 this past January. Having the ability to fine tune, I went to Jared's @PickledNorthern suggested loft no more than twice the diameter. It's a tie at favorite badger I currently own. Makes me wonder what Vulfix was thinking when they made the other two badgers in my pile.

I appreciate Doug's @Douglas Carey nature photos. The turkeys this passed winter were wonderful. That said , there's always time for

    I'd lend a friendly,"Doh!" if it helps.:happy088:

I just fluffed it up Mission Statement style to personalize the message.
Here's my inspiration. Buzzwords used in order as I copy/pasted them.

This week is going to be all shave sticks with the synthetic. Bama advised that these knots love to face lather a shave stick. It loved the Erasmic. Effortless great lather for the featherweight and PAL. Great finish with the Brisk. I am rocking the old man smell tonight.

It's MAYHEM everyone!!!! And what better way to start it off than spending a day chasing down paperwork to try and satisfy the DMV!! Thanks to a snafu with the dealership I'm a day away from getting it all done but it will get there.

And, to start MAYhem off right, here's what I'm doing tonight - I'M NOT SHAVING!!! Didn't see THAT coming did you. I'll have my full MAYhem plan and all that good stuff on here tomorrow. And I'll catch up with the first 10 pages of the month!!!!!

I've been lazy and haven't shaved for a few days, but decided to get one in tonight as I'll probably shave again Thursday afternoon before meeting friends, which will set me up nicely for the Little Lily MAYhem shave on Saturday. I also tried out a Barbasol razor I took a chance on thinking it might be a floating head. Turns out it wasn't, but gave a great shave anyway. I had a shave partner, as my daughter decided to shave with me. That doesn't happen as often as it used to, so I gladly let her. I switched from a face lather to a bowl so there would be enough to share. She picked the soap, WSP Barbershop, and brush, Wolf Whiskers with the black wolf (tuxedo) knot. I gave her my birth year super speed, unloaded of course, and I went with the GSB in the Barbasol. We both did three passes, and both claimed BBS. I finished with the Stirling MITA WH/aloe (she passed) and am now settling down to relax. Oh and @NCoxSTL my son got a new bowling ball for his birthday and I took him to try it out. He bowled 7 games for a 220 average including a 290 in which he spared the first frame then had 11 strikes in a row. Then he had the first 3 strikes in the next game for a streak of 14 in a row. It's safe to say the student has surpassed the teacher. This is the second time he's done this in the last couple of months. Maybe he'll go pro and win a little money go dad.

Yes, me too. This is the second time he missed a 300 by one strike. He's bowling in the Wednesday night match play league again this year. At 16 he's going head to head against men and women that have been bowling for decades, and gladly taking their money.

I had chipped this blade, one of my favorite razors, and honed it yesterday. I did not expect a Mayhem shave today but it was almost Mayhem. This was a honing failure, it was not cutting hair despite looking great under the 'scope and shaving arm hair. I followed my own advice and put it down and finished with a Asylum SE that was already loaded with a blade. Back to the stones with this one.

First off, much love and respect for @wchnu sharing his SE passion with me. I really appreciate the chance to do this right!

Well, it was good! I found the razor head to be intuitive, and it seemed to like to be treated like a straight. Nice low angle, really good glide on the bevel. Soap today was Arko, I've used it 31 consecutive days now, and wanted to use a soap that isn't a variable for me. Went with my normal two-pass with and against routine, with full skin stretching. The razor yielded my normal results, more or less. I did give myself a weeper or three on the upper lip, but that's about angle and pressure and not the blade or razor. The rest of my face was basically flawless. Alum was pretty quiet, and since this razor is a classic, I finished with a fave Pinaud Blend, Citrus Musk. Fuzzy sent along four blades. I am leaving Colorado on a nine day trip tomorrow, and will take this razor and the blades, along with a fresh Williams puck along for some extended learning. I feel like after a week with this, it will be totally routine. My assessment is that the shave compared favorably with my Schick G and my open blade stuff, and was easy and fun to use, with good results on day one. I am way behind, but will be up on the goings-on soon. Great start to May, let's have a good month of it!
    No announced plan.

    This is MAYHEM.

    Have a great evening!
