    Generaly same rules apply!!!

I might have awoken the neighbors laughing at that.

Just jump in anywhere. You will catch up.

That is more natural progression then sideways. Sidways is normal here.

This deserved it own quote. That is an awesome set up there. Glad it all worked out. Williams, skin bracer,a 24 and cookies. I am a jealous Redneck here. I did a straight shave and went for a walk along the river with a new corn cob with perique to try and make up for it.
Sounds like your at some of my kin folks place, except that would be in MS not KY.

Another great 2 pass near BBS shave this morning. I did end up with a couple of weepers. The Feather Super Pro blades in a heavy razor really require a very light touch and I am not doing my part. I finished off the shave with a splash of F&C Capri. I hope everyone has a great Wednesday.

May 3 (Wednesday ) - return of the croaps

    Rockwell 6s on plate #3 / Topaz Platinum ( 2 )
    Supply Provision synthetic brush
Red Green Duct Tape Special soap
Alum and Thayers Witch Hazel Original

What is Red Green Duct Tape Special soap, you ask? It's one of those frankensoaps that comes into existence when "someone" can't sleep and gets a bright idea at 3am... Let's see now, we combined the Vitos Red and Green and put them in this TOBS tub here, but we also have this bar of soft Valobra almond croap sitting over there without a proper container, plus this dash of 3P from the sampler, and there's this bigger empty tub that used to hold 6oz of Vaseline just sitting uselessly right in front of us, so why don't we... Hmm, the Vitos soaps were a pure white with the consistency of putty, and the Valobra is a creamy translucent offwhite that sticks to everything, and they don't meld perfectly... No problem, we just have a new soap that is a streaky white marbled style... Oops, the new concoction doesn't quite all fit in the big tub after all... No problem, 3/4 in the big tub and 1/4 squished back in the TOBS tub and voila! -- two brush-loadable tubs of the new generic traditional Italian almond soft soap.

So what is Red Green Duct Tape Special like? Really nice, actually. (And isn't that a good thing, since I can't unmake the pound of it I now have...). The biggest change is to the scent -- the rather sickly sweet marzipan scent of some of the soaps is muted into something closer to a true almond oil smell. Otherwise, the brush loading, the lather, the shave performance and the face feeling are the same as with the best of the individual soaps. In fact, I think I will abandon my soap tests for awhile and just play around with this stuff for the rest of May and see how it is when used for the long haul.

Wednesday's shave? I had a two-day stubble; my usual two passes with the Rockwell and I was back to near BBS with no grumbles from Mr. Alum.

    Blade: Feather Pro
    Razor: RazoRock Black Hawk
    Brush: JR #60 synthetic
    Lather: Fine Platinum
Post: Witch hazel, Fine Platinum aftershave
    WTG, touch-up

Easy shave this morning with nice results. The Platinum soap produced nice, slick lather. The Hawk took down the whiskers with no problems and smooth skin resulted. Really nice scent and performance from the soap and carried on with the aftershave. No complaints here. The Hawk has been fun to use so far this week.

    Have a great day!

    Razorock Plissoft
    La Toja Shave Stick
    Gillette Red Tip
    Stirling Unscented PSB
    Proraso Red AS

Shave #2 with the Gillette Rubie, and it was about as nice as shave 1. Another DFS, this one bordering on BBS. The Red Tip is a great razor; I really wish I would have gotten one earlier.

It is supposed to rain quite a bit today as we have flash flood warnings everywhere. It just started coming down. This weather can play havoc on a refinery electric power system, so it may be a busy day. I hope everyone has a great day!

Pre: Hot towel, hot water and bloom water from the soap
    Razor: GEM Featherweight '50's vintage
    Blade: GEM Stainless
    Brush: Omega 10098
    Soap: RazoRock XXX
Post: Hot/Cold rinse, alum block, cold towelx2 and Dominello Vitali Calming Post Shave Moisturizer
    After Shave: Aramis(Herself's favorite)
For today's shave I broke out the RazoRock XXX. Using the 10098 I had a creamy slick comfy lather in no time. The best shave so far with the Featherweight. 2.5 passes of shaving excellence. The half pass neck clean-up was the best I've managed DE or SE. I found some Treet blades yesterday at RiteAid. Looking forward to trying them next week.
Herself noted that Aramis was missing from my shaves lately. No dummy I, splashed on some and was rewarded with a nice buss on my way out the door to work.
    Have an outstanding Wednesday!!

My focus hasn't even started yet. Haven't touched an Injector, and will be travelling for work the next few days and using my travel set up. Then on to Sayuri Saturday and all its pending lawsuits.
Anyway, have had two fantastic shaves with this Canadian Fat Handled Tech. Probably the best few shaves I've ever had to start with a new razor.
    Have a great day all!
