Thanks guys. My dad has always been a phenomenal woodworker, and I'm very excited to have these both now and as a family heirloom later. As for the razors, I bought them thinking the birth year slim would be perfect to send off to Delta Echo. After cleaning and polishing both razors, I hate to send off a slim that looks this good to be cerakoted. First world problems!

Thanks Jim. I appreciate the encouraging words. 20 years of marriage will be here before you know it, but 17 years is a significant accomplishment - huge Congrats to you as well!

I joke around a lot, but I will honestly admit that marrying my Bride was one of the very best things that has happened in my life.

Have a great evening, and a week so smooth at work that it seems like you're retired. :)

You guys are so humble. Especially when you travel for business, I'm certain you are missed.

Day 13 with the JR #137. Today was Ogalalla bay rum soap. The brush did a fine job. Then the Flying wing with a 2 day old PAL cleared the field. This was all finished off by Kramperts Finest Bay Rum AS. Absolutly wonderful stuff. Happy Sunday to all. And Happy Mothers day to all out there.

I have been married for 15 years but I have dated my wife before that exclusively for 12 years before that so sometimes it feels like we have been married for 27 years. Had med school worked out, I would have proposed much sooner. Software development gives me more family time than medicine would, or so I am told. Unfortunately I had to give up lots of time trying and postpone life.

I know it was hard on her when the kids were little. I was working 80 to 100 hours a week back then, but always said I had the easy job compared to her. I got lucky the last few years, and the travel hasn't been as bad, but that creek pretty much ran dry. The next few years are going to be more like the first few. Gotta do a few more til the kids get through college. Who knows, this youngest one might pull off some real money and I can quit to go mow golf courses.

That's pretty amazing. My wife only dated for a few months before we got married, so the first few years were spent really getting to know each other. Looking back, it surprising how much each of us has grown individually and how much we grown together. I wouldn't trade places with anyone.

    Monday morning shave:

No pic today, J West razor with Castle Forbes lime. This is the first shave after refreshing this razor on a Zulu Grey, the edge was smooth and acceptable sharp. The CF delivered as usual. Four passes with two small weepers and a smooth face.
