The Haul: May 2017

My wife ...she's a keeper.
For Mother's Day she wanted to antique store shop. She said she knew a place north of us. The directions she gave me was not to an antique store but to an apartment complex where we meet a guy. He hands her a plastic shopping bag, and she told me to rummage through...to my surprise

The guy said he used the shavette once and sliced his face. Everything else was unused and was given to him by annex-girlfriend. I probably spent more on gas round trip than my wife paid for

It was a good morning at the monthly antiques fair. Went with a $100.00 and came home with change

 

Nice haul for a story that starts,
"I met a guy in a parking lot..."

You got a finger razor thungie. Its on my list. That PAL is awesome. Rest of the stuff looks cool too..woo good times.

 

It's a Bigelow Parkin folding razor. They hold a DE blade and are held with fingertips.

This one appears to have been given to someone at a New York Sergeants Benevolent Association banquet on January 19, 1924. (It took some online research to figure out it was New York)

I'll have to put this one in the rotation his week.

 

I've been keeping an eye out for one of these; great haul!

Wow am I excited about this razor! 1937 Gillette Sheraton. I've been looking for this razor for years.

I did something when I bought this razor that I've never done. The seller had a set price, and make offer.
So I figured what the heck! I was respectful with my offer, the seller came back with a counter and Bam! I scored a razor I've wanted since I started wet shaving (4 years)
I may have this replated..

I've seen these come up every so often on Ebay. Waiting for your review on it.

 

Those Zipaks are cool. I have a couple and loaded one with Wilkies. The other has era Personna Precision blades in it.
