What I love about Electric Sheep is it is unlike every soap out there. There is nothing else I have heard or tried like it. To me, some companies has a singular way their scents go. Some companies entire line are sweet or complex or spicy. Stirling touches so much variety of scents from simple to complex, spicy and sweet it is hard to believe they could come up with yet another category and to me, in Electric Sheep, they did. It is more than just a potent scented soap. I also describe it as the scent of exhilaration!! And yes, I too enjoy it
Jeff, When you do use the Glacial Spearmint , let me know if you think Wintergreen is a bit of a sweeter mint than Spearmint not unlike Stevia and Nutrasweet is different than sugar. I am not saying it is fake just that it is both similar and yet different from Spearmint. It is a mint but it is not peppermint nor Spearmint in scent. I might say it has a sweet almost floral mint scent when compared to Spearmint. I do not know the right way to describe the difference from Spearmint. Curious how you might describe the difference or anyone else who has tried them both and would like to try. Regardless of the difference, both are just delicious mints that pair well with the super menthol so perfectly. Me, I think Frozen Tundra is up next. I only have the Glacial Obsidian left in the Glacial line I have not yet tried. All have been great in menthol strength. I too agree ET needs more SDM scent even if it means less menthol.
Frank, what I find difficult is how to describe the differences between the Wintergreen and Spearmint. I spent almost a half hour sniffing them both the other day but I just couldn't figure out how to explain. Perhaps the Spearmint is more of a chewing gum mint and the Wintergreen is more of a strong mint candy - could that be? I really don't know but I do love them both. About the Glacial ET, my tub that I'm using now is soon going to be finished and I have another one from last year's batches which smells very SDM along with the powerful menthol rush. The one from this year that I bought has an extremely strong menthol rush to it, but somehow I still smell enough of the SDM fragrance to say it's definitely there. Maybe this tub is a little different - perhaps it's from a different batch than yours is from. I'm unable to say.
Just checked the social media and saw that the expansion was finished. Does that mean that we can expect see colognes pretty soon? I'm still banking on that Executive Man EdT for some good times this summer. I also noticed that the Executive Man aftershave splash is missing from the shop. Is it gone for good? I was hoping to buy a full size bottle eventually.
Well, this time it's the Glacial Spearmint soap and balm for tomorrow. It's not the one I just bought, but it's a refill puck from an order I bought last year. I'm ready for Le Grand Freeze!
One of the better shaves of 2017... @PickledNorthern To @Fly2High - The last 3 days answer another of your fave questions. Great lather cannot make the blade. Van Der Hagen with Electric Sheep is pretty rough. GSB with the same is world class. I judge Stirling as top tier lather.
I can't believe how much I enjoyed my shave this morning. That Glacial Spearmint soap lathered off the charts and the scent filled the bathroom. The first pass was frigid, the second was even more frigid, and the third was borderline-painful. The matching balm soothed and froze me beautifully!
I made a mistake, guys. I placed an order when I knew that they were out of town at the Maggard meet up. The suspense is killing me! Sent from my XT1585 using Tapatalk
Can someone describe Frozen Tundra to me in terms of what scents do you smell? Does it have a minty scent?
Yes, sort of. It's also got some wintergreen notes along with some earthiness to it. Very, very nice scent.
