    Tuesday Shave:

In the past shaving with my 2011 R41 would have been considered a Mayhem shave but I can't even dare to enter it, twig razors, finger razors, strange razor thingies from Japan et al.....

I went all out today, scuttle, tea kettle, QCS cream to go with the R41. Would have been an epic shave except for a small cut cheek and I have no idea how or when it happened. Except for the small cut, no irritation and a long lasting (for me) dolphin smooth face.

    Blade: GEM Stainless
    Razor: GEM Pushbutton
    Brush: Jayaruh #60 synthetic
    Lather: Proraso Green
Post: Witch hazel, Stirling Executive Man aftershave
    WTG, touch-up

Nice and easy shave this morning. The Pushbutton continues to work quite well. Smooth and comfortable with good results. Still working on the tub of Proraso and trying to finish it off. I'm using it every other shave until then. A nice shave overall with no complaints.

    Have a great day!

I have been dealing with colon issues since my late 20s and it sure looks like I am in the beginning stages of a flare up. At least I was able to get a very good shave in this morning. The Shavemac easily lathered up the MW Raspberry Lemon soap. Three passes and touch ups ended in a near BBS. A splash of F& C Capri and I think I am ready for the day. I hope everyone has a great Tuesday.

Sounds like you had a brutal day at work. I hope today goes better for you. Take care of yourself in the heat.

After polishing the Fatboy, it revealed that the plating was worn down enough where it will be probably be heading to Delta Echo. However, I now have two slims, I like the slim a bit better, but don't want to send both to them. Hmmm... Again, first world problems...

Today's shave was with the Fatboy using the amboyna brush with the silvertip knot. It took a while to pair each knot with each handle correctly, but now that the look and feel of each one is dialed in correctly, it makes each brush unique and an absolute pleasure to use. I used the 3 oz puck of Stirling sandalwood as a trial. (It was light yellow, where the sandalwood from the pass around was darker brown - no idea why unless it's really vanilla sandalwood - if anyone can solve this mystery for me let me know.) Anyway, I'm not normally a Sandalwood guy, but I really did like this sandalwood scent. It's a keeper. Just gotta get a tub to put it in now.

Back to the Injector Focus. Day 2 with the PAL. After trying to implement some of the good advise I got on here, it was a better shave today. Really focussed on angles, skin stretching and shorter 'buffing' strokes. After 3 passes plus a bit of touch up, I'd say this is starting to get into DFS range. Still felt tugging, maybe for me that's just what these Injectors will feel like. It feels like the blade is a little dull, even though I know it isn't. Strange. No irritation at all, however.
    Have a great day all!

16 May 2017 MAYhem Super Speed Blade Focus Shave

Today's shave was accomplished with Razorock XXX. Broke out the Omega 10098 and with about 3 minutes total lathering time, had a fantastic smelling, slick lather. 2.5 passes of shaving excellence with the Super Speed Black Tip/Shark duo led to another BBS shave. I'm loving the Super Speed! This is the second time Shark Super Chrome has bested my baseline blade, the Gillette Silver Blue(the first was in my EJ DE89bl).
After the Shark I'm going right to the Voskhod. I think I'll be a winner either way. Splashed on some Cella Lozione Dopobarba and Tuesday is on. Have a great one my fellow Denizens!

Praying that your flare up will flare down! That's a gorgeous photo. I can never get black backgrounds to come out even.

Thank you, Clint! This is a pretty nice cream with a great scent. To me the rose a bit stronger than the Lavender, but they work well together.

Thank you. I am really getting a kick out learning to take photos now. For this back ground, I used the computer desk with a light box to help even out the color.

Thank you both for your thoughts and prayers. I was diagnosed with diverticulitis in my late 20s. In December 2002, I had a ruptured colon due to a flare up of diverticulitis. At that time they removed 33 inches of colon and told me virtually no change of recurrence. Well they were wrong as my colon is littered with diverticulum from end to end. Most flare ups pass without issues other that tremendous pain. However, if it pain last more than several days or I run a high fever, I am off to the hospital.

Thanks Randy. I did drive into the office to knock out one thing and will be heading back home shortly. Honestly, I should have stayed at home but was to stubborn to listen to my wife and daughter.
