Today's shave was nice. Sara's Creations soap makes very creamy, yogurty, lather. The scent is spot on for bay rum, a bit less clovey (but the VI adds iy back in). I bumped the variant up to 4, I've been trying ways to make my wonderful shaves last farther into the day. Three passes with a lab on it's 5th dance. It delivered, but I will retire it tomorrow. Finished with alum and iced VIBR. Nice shave, nice scent.
Hope y'all did as well, or better.

Had a nice shave. The Ballenclaugh has a beautiful barbershop menthol type of scent, and performance it top notch at always. It was a refreshing shave, hope everyone else had similar results.

I'm pumped for this shave - it's a new Obsidian tub. I took a sniff and the black licorice scent with that huge menthol blast hit me right in the nostrils. The matching balm has that same scent combination, and the Arctique's black pepper scent is lovely. I'll soon need to buy some more of it. Just a small amount should be used because the menthol power can brutalize you.

Nice brush! I wish I had found this when putting together my wood shave kit. This would have matched perfectly with the Royal Water setup on that kit!

The Polsilver blade gave a really good shave and surprised me in the Old Type. It had the least drag of any blade so far in this super-aggressive razor and I will test how many shaves I can get out of it. So far, no blade has given me a comfortable shave outside of the 3 shaves before needing to change the blade. I still think there is a chance some other blade could best the Polsilver as there was still detectable resistance, but that resistance again was the lowest of any blade I've tried so far (Derby, all Gillette blades, Astra Green Platinum and Feather).
