You say that like its a bad thing. @Fup, don't worry about who to listen too. Fuzzy, me, @NCoxSTL, we all give good advice 90% of the time. The other 10% is just to make sure you are paying attention.

Anchorset w/ 24MM Game Changer style synthetic knot
    La Toja

I'm taking a deviation from MAYhem to give a few new acquisitions a try. My first impressions with the Gillette Sheraton are that it is a very mild razor, I'm glad that I chose one of my top tier sharp blades to put in it. I also used my newly restored Anchorset for the first time, WOW! It whipped up a great later out of the La Toja, very dense and creamy. The knot is very soft and set about 4MM deeper then the top of the plug gave it a very nice amount of backbone too. I'm very happy with the way this brush turned out! So after 3 passes with the Sheraton I was able to pull off a very nice DFS+ level shave and could have done a little touch up to catch the baby, but I was happy with the shave so let him go for someone else to catch. Have a great day my friends!

If you love lime, you should check out Castle Forbes Lime. It is a cream but I think I use less than most soaps and it always makes for a super scent and unbelievable slick and rich lather.

I have a sample if it that I've been wanting to test out. (Also have TOBS, & Trumpers lime samples as well). Just waiting for the B&M to show up so I can compare them all first. Not sure I'm a big enough lime freak to shell out an extra $20 for the CF, when the two Latha scents I've tried so far are Fantastic (and only $12). We will know soon...

I will be looking forward to your thoughts. It could be just me but citrus based scents no matter how strong the scent seem to to dissipate more quickly than other strong scents.

    30 DC LE Brush Update

Realized I haven't given an update to the Brush project in a bit. So, I've finished the first 8 brushes, and came up with a plan to distribute 7 of them (one is my 'guide'). I did decide on a 'lottery' distribution model. For example, If I made a maple handle w natural finish, I drew from those who had asked for that. As such, I am ready to mail out the first 7, and have contacted those folks for customization (hole depth and loft if I'm installing the knot). If you haven't been contacted, your name wasn't drawn yet, sorry. I can't think of a fairer way to do it. I did give some thought to holding them all until they were done so that everyone could have theirs at the same time, but decided against that for a few reasons. Firstly, I have collected money from folks for the knot order, and truly no one here really knows me. I wanted to get these out as soon as possible to reassure people that they didn't send money on a hope and a prayer and that these are actually happening. The second reason is more practical- I'm using the dining room table as a finishing station and I want these out of the house and gone!
The only thing that hasn't gone well, or according to plan, is lettering. My stamp set just isn't producing letters which match the quality of the handles, in my opinion. There won't be lettering, sorry.
I have put a few pics of some of the handles on here, but will be posting a much more indepth photo array of the process on the Brush thread when I get a chance.
Again, please PM me with any questions or concerns.

The brushes look beautiful, Jason! Oh, and don't worry about the other part ot it -- nobody here would suspect you for a minute of running a "Nigerian brush scam" to get money.... In fact, I am contacting the RCMP Commercial Crimes division as we speak to withdraw the report... :)

What a great set up, Andrew! Does the Sheraton shave more like the other Gillette OCs, or more like the other TTOs?

Is the Sheraton the only TTO that Gillette made as an Open Comb or were there any other models like it?
