Good shave. The R6 is aggressive, but not uncomfortably so. The 6C is a great razor. I can see why some people give up every other razor after trying a Rockwell.

I'm taking a deviation from MAYhem to give a few new acquisitions a try. My first impressions with the Gillette Sheraton are that it is a very mild razor, I'm glad that I chose one of my top tier sharp blades to put in it. I also used my newly restored Anchorset for the first time, WOW! It whipped up a great later out of the La Toja, very dense and creamy. The knot is very soft and set about 4MM deeper then the top of the plug gave it a very nice amount of backbone too. I'm very happy with the way this brush turned out! So after 3 passes with the Sheraton I was able to pull off a very nice DFS+ level shave and could have done a little touch up to catch the baby, but I was happy with the shave so let him go for someone else to catch. As expected, another excellent shave with this razor. Two passes with some touch up for a smooth and very comfortable BBS shave.

 

Andrew, I recently picked up a Gillette Sheraton, I agree with you it's a very mild razor, I had a wonderful shave today. Zero irritation, like you another pass and I would have put powder on the baby.

The CO Bigelow Shaving Cream face-lathered well with my Jayaruh #168 Synthetic brush. I was going to change to the R4 plate this morning, but I did not have my glasses on and I either used the R5 or R6 plate. I did not find out until I was cleaning the razor afterwards. I did two passes the Rockwell 6C razor and Rockwell Swedish Stainless blade, and I ended up with a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse and alum block, I finished off with Thayer's Lemon WH and then Aqua Velva Musk AS. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...

Great, crack of Dawn shave. Used the Super Homex blade in the Futur for it's second time. DFS, thank you very much. I've been on a rampage with Stone Cottage Creams and Soaps the past 3 weeks. Great lather, protection and slickness. Pure delight and the scents, Dios Mio!!! As Dave Chappelle quoting Lil Wayne would say "Ya-Ya YEAH!! OKAAAAY!! Felt Old School by the way. English Leather. Don't get no better than that. Manliness in a bottle...

I love this setup. The mug and razor are fantastic pieces. Wow. He sold his grandfather's razor? I suppose he had his reasons, but that is quite an heirloom that I hope he doesn't someday regret selling. I hope you offered to let him buy it back if he changes his mind.
