Jamie's Night Shave....

1. Hot Shower. Old Spice swagger bar soap. Reuzel shampoo.
2. Musgo Real GLYCE - Pre shave soap.
3. SPIECK cream.
4. Semogue 1250 with a Shave nation [GeoFatBoy] lather bowl.
5. Schick Paul Revere Injector with a new Personna 74 blade.
6. MASTER Witch Hazel.
7. SPIECK after shave followed by DOVE MEN Balm.

 

Tonight's shave started out horribly. I had three strokes with a freshly honed Pakistani Razor. It's edge gave out after a few strokes. It tugged and pulled after the second stroke.
I then pulled out a freshly honed Shumate Razor, and had a lovely two pass shave. Great results, and a DFS.

Razor- Pakistani Two Golden Man. Junk Junk Junk!!!


Second razor- Shumate Tungsten. Fabulous little razor.

Time to break out the haunted razor again. He's been quite a friendly companion and not at all as noisy and troublesome as advertised. I still had the Treet blade in him from earlier this month so decided just to do another shave with no change in blade. Didn't see a lot of rust issues on the carbon blade. I will say that the carbon blade helps bring out the aggressiveness of the razor, but it's still a smooth shave if a bit on the "I could bite you at anytime" feel with this blade.

Two passes and touch up to a near-BBS and tonight's haunting was successful and another fun shave, even with the alum being a bit on the warm side.

My shave yesterday was with a Brass General, hence a good solid all round Shave was attained. However, I find this the norm with The General, and it for me does not offer the Challenge of getting a good Shave from a Vintage SE.

Today I chose to us what many think of as the ER Streamline [ depends on its box] - this one being the "Ambassador ".
This became one of my favourites, as not only does it look good but if you master it it delivers a good shave. The Vitos
provided a good lather, so that Shaving was smooth and comfortable, the resultant finish IMHO was equal if not better than the one with The General yesterday.

Cool Friday
This soap is thirsty! I added more water this time, and the lather was top notch. A little more dense than glissant, and a match in performance. I love this scent because my Dad used Aqua Velva when he did not have any Tabac, and often used them together.
