Well this morning was all about the first B&M shave combo I put together with the latha soap & AS. By the way, if you haven't tried B&M Latha, stop whatever you are doing right now, and go order some. Right now. You can search far and wide to find a better way to spend $12, but you will not find it. Great scents, rich creamy latha, can't say enough good things. Anyway, I decided to try a stirling brush I got as part of the lot sale I keep referring to, as it will be my designated travel brush. Loved it. I think I like the knot better than my Razorock silvertip plissoft. Let me say again, for emphasis - LOVED IT! Makes me want to go on a trip just to use it. Decided while I was on a roll, I would try @wchnu 's trick with the witch hazel cleanup. I debated about going 2 pass plus witch hazel or 3, and decided to push my luck with 2. Mixed results - the "clean up" after only 2 passes on my neck was really a whole third pass, plus some cleanup so it was really too much to do this way. I prefer having a soap based third pass on my neck. Having said that, the witch hazel made it very easy to tell where there was still growth and remove it, and resulted in better results on my neck than I am accustomed to. I think a N-S and S-N pass on my face and neck followed by an ATG pass on my neck followed by the witch hazel cleanup may be just the ticket. Thanks for the idea, Fuzzy!
Thanks! I noticed I did at least two black and whites this week, maybe three. I just play around with some filters to see what looks okay. I never pretend or even hope that they're ever good photos. Too many great shots on here that put mine to shame.
Latha is really a very good soap but the original scent left a lot to be desired. Now that he has more scents in the Latha Line I might give it another go. If you like barbershop type scents you should consider B&M Seville.
