  5. I think there's gonna be change of plans, at least with my choice of soap.

Here is the updated Saturday SoS for me:

    L'Oreal Men Expert Facial Wash
    Razorock Plissoft 26mm Monster
    Super Speed Rapira day 6
Stirling Margaritas in the Arctic SS
    Lucky Tiger AS Cream
    Mennen Skin Bracer AS Splash

Let's just say that I'm hopelessly-addicted to Rod's great soaps. The MITA is one of my cherished favorites and for a good bunch of reasons - it smells, lathers, and feels great. Nothing at all against the Sottozero - I could always use it on Sunday, right? No change in my aftershave choices - the Lucky Tiger and the Skin Bracer are waiting for me!
  6. THURSDAYS SHAVE
    20170519_181956.jpg

Prep: MLSW Sandalwood pre shave butter
    Razor: Icon X3/ Maggard MR18C
    Blade: Rapia red
    Brush: Maggard 24mm synthetic
    Soap: Sudsy Soapery Cola
Post: Lucky Tiger, Stirling Ben Franklin A/S

Not a bad shave yesterday. Love the scent of this Cola soap and it paired well with Ben Franklin and whipped up a nice lather in the copper bowl.

    TODAY'S SHAVE

Prep: Occams Crushed Lime pre shave soap
    Razor: Gillette Red tip

    Blade: Rapia red
    Brush: Maggard 26mm synthetic
    Soap: Wickham's 1912 Citrus Musk
Post: LT, Pinaud Citrus Musk (mentholated)

Couldn't get the photo to upload which ticked me off since it came out as a good pic.
Ended up with a smooth shave this evening. The scent of this Wickham's Citrus Musk is pretty musky in a nice way. Made a terrific lather that seems much more protective than the Super Smooth formula. The blade is gone after this shave, did have some tugging and pulling but it lasted for a good number of shaves (that I lost count of lol). Did do a few extra buffing on the neckline and was reluctant to use the Pinaud but had to since the scents paired so well together, although the Wickham's is heavier on the musk, while Pinaud is more citrus forward. But the A/S did not burn as bad as I thought it would, perhaps due to the menthol crystals added to the bottle. Hope everyone enjoyed their shave!
  7. Wednesday, May 17
    Brush: Omega Synthetic Hi-Brush
    Soap: Proraso Green
    Razor: Edwin Jagger Kelvin
    Blade: Gillette Silver Blue (4)
Lotion: Omega Alum Stick / Mennen Skin Bracer / Nivea Post Shave Balm / Pinaud Clubman Talc

Today's shave was killer bbs. Unfortunately, the Kelvin really is too small for my hand, so I rarely use it. But it is a great little razor with a handle that is a near clone of the 34 HD handle, and it has the EJ89 head.
  8. Thank You!!

  9. Tonight's shave was with a Chinese Straight Razor. If I remember correctly, it cost under $5.00 delivered. I had issues with honing this razor, but since corrected the issues. I had a super smooth 2 pass shave, with BBS results. Only some irritation in one small area, due to a Pakistani razor I tried the night before. Properly honed, this razor can go head to head with some of the best razors out there.

    Razor- Chinese "Gold Dollar 66"
    Brush- B400 By Tom
    Soap- Arko/Avon Spicy
    Aftershave- Pinaud Clubman

  18. Thanks Guy. I can't wait to try Cosmo tomorrow morning. I won it at the Maggard's raffle from last weekend. I think I will be using the giveaway samples for most of the weekdays and on the weekends use regular tubs. At this rate, I'll never see the bottom of a tin, but will have fun along the way with all the variety!
