Had a nice shave late last night. Got a great lather from the Gustafsons but if does take a bit more time to work it into the right consistancy, no bubbles and almost resembles a cream. This is their 2nd formula that is made by Square One Soapworks and is truly a hidden gem. Finished off with some North balm. Hope everyone enjoyed their shave.

There's time when you shave and say "I could use only this razor for the rest of my life and be happy", it's the reason why I think the Super Speeds are great! No wonder I have ~6 of these.

I wasn't quite careful enough with this morning's shave. I scraped my face a bit and have some lingering razorburn. No nicks and a very close shave.

A very fine shave today with the Single Ring razor. Two passes with some touch up for a very smooth BBS shave. Ooops, just remembered, forgot about menthol Monday.

After remembering that most early Gillette razors were marketed as "adjustable" simply by opening them up a little I decided to see if I could add some MAYhem to an otherwise very mild razor. After locking down the Sheraton fully I opened it back up a 1/4 turn. I did notice that there was some increased blade gap due to the blade sitting a little flatter in the razor head. Built a beautifully slick lather and away we go. Yes indeed, that is what the razor needed!It went from feeling like a blue tip to feeling like a NEW. I was in a bit of a hurry as I was trying to get ready for some company so I went with 2 passes WTG and DATG and ended up with a very close DFS. A splash of smolder AS and got a comment from my wife that I was smelling good!! Have a great day friends!

 

My Super Speed is from the 50's also. I'm head over heels in love with it. So much that it's hard for me to use any of my other razors.

Like the carbon steel blade better than the stainless blades, they just work better for me. Very nice shave to start the week and I'm ready to go. Now go enjoy your day folks

 

Not really. lol I like the performance but the scent although not bad just doesn't do it for me.

The VDH Deluxe Shaving Soap face-lathered well with my Jayaruh #170 Synthetic brush. I did two passes the Ming Shi Adjustable razor set on 4 and Rockwell Swedish Stainless blade, and I ended up with a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse and alum block, I finished off with Thayer's Lemon WH and then Aqua Velva Musk AS. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...
