Thank you, gentlemen. You may already know, but for those that don't. The DeltaEcho treatment is gunkoting. It not only looks great, but despite it's textured surface, it cleans up more easily than chrome. I have hard water, and all I have had to do it rinse it clean. I have hard water, so my other hardware requires a little more effort to keep them shiny. The DeltaEcho process is quite simple: Just go to their site, and either pick one of their ready made razors in stock, or send them your razor, pay them the $70, tell them the desired color scheme, and wait about 3 months. In my case, I sent them one of my user-grade 1912s along with a spare handle. I asked them to make the spare handle with a red/black scheme. I think the extra handle was an extra $20. It's flawless.

The Ever-Ready 100T was my grandfather's brush. He handed it down to my Dad. My Dad used it in his youth before moving to canned goop. It sat in a drawer in an Old Spice shaving mug until I got into wet shaving. My Dad figured I might like it, so he gave it to me. Eventually, Nate Singleterry (aka drivenlegend) restored and reknotted it for me. It's been a great performer ever since. I have always liked old things that are usable. For instance I'm not into antiques that sit on a shelf. I like to continue to use the item as originally intended. It gives me a connection to the past. Additionally, I like to use old things that were used by people I knew and loved. I drink 6 cups of coffee per day (2 each time morning, afternoon, and evening). My morning cup is always using my late aunt's mug. She was like a grandmother to me. I remember that mug in her hands ever since I was a small child. I honestly think of her each time I pick up the mug in the mornings. I'm a very sentimental man. But I digress...

I feel like I have a built-in air conditioner working in my face after this shave. The Glacial Wintergreen soap, balm, and witch hazel worked their menthol magic for me and thanks to my Super Speed with the Gillette Wilkinson I had a most delightful three pass BBS shave. A special shout-out to my Plissoft synthetic for working up such fantastic lather!

What a great shave! My new JR 172 is amazing!! The Baby Smooth loaded with a Polsilver is a great combo. It's pretty hard to beat CB.

Good shave this morning with the Featherweight. The Hibco is a decent soap and the scent is really nice. I'll start a fresh blade tomorrow and continue with the Featherweight this week.

SOTD:Vintage Frederick Fenney 'Tally Ho' 7/8" square-point; Crown & Crane 'Tobacco Leaf & Amber' tallow soap and matching aftershave balm, Omega Pro 48 boar. First shave in 4 days and it was a good one. Have a blessed Tuesday, all!

 

25th Wedding Anniversary shave. The D has the right spirit. Classic and fun. A great way to start the day. The rain has stopped and we're headed out for a stroll in the Big Apple.
