I think I am going to clean out some of the razors in the hutch. I want the 30DC to have first shot at stuff. It will take a bit for me to get a bunch of pics. In the mean time let me know if your looking for something or have seen a pic of something I have that you may want. Here are some really sucky pics of some stuff. Do not throw rocks if I say something is not for sale. Not everything is. Let's pm with questions so we do not clog up the thread. http://theshaveden.com/forums/threads/lets-see-your-collection.54793/page-4
Alright shave number 5 no major irritation but I stopped at the second pass because I could tell I would have irritation if I did a third. It's either 2 things I used the blade too long (third use maybe fourth) or I didn't shower before the shave just washed my face (showered last night). I'm going to try to narrow it down tomorrow I'll use a fresh blade and do the same prep Sent from my XT1609 using Tapatalk
Fifth shave here as well @LevelupShaves . Really smooth but more burn from the alum and some irritation on my neck...oops. I think I might need to work in some coffee into my routine.
May 23 SOTD: Stirling Synthetic Brush St. James Black Pepper and Lime SC Merkur Futur Stirling Unscented PSB Proraso Red AS I always the Merkur when I use it. It was a two pass + clean up for a BBS. Very smooth and comfortable. I also enjoy St. James quite a bit as well, and the Proraso Red adds a great finish. To sum up, it was a great shave this Tuesday. I hope everyone has a great day!
May 23, 2017 Colonial Razors “The General” Feather Pro BSB-2 with Vie Long 2 Band Mystic Water Lavender Lime Fine Lavender My thoughts and prayers are with the people of Manchester and the UK. It is a very sad day for all of us. It's been a rough week thus far. The diverticulitis flare up returned with a vengeance Sunday night. With the help I my wife I overcame my stubborn nature and went to the doctor yesterday. I am now on a cocktail of antibiotics and a very restrictive diet for at least the next week. With luck I am hopeful this will be end the flare up. At least I was able to get a good shave on an otherwise crappy morning. The Lime Lavender is really a great scent combination and the menthol is an added bonus. I do wish the scent strength was stronger. The General really shines on a morning like today since it is so smooth efficient and easy to use. I could not ask for better than a near BBS in three passes and touch ups. I hope everyone has a great Tuesday.
We need a video of you reading one of your posts in a Shatner voice, right before a questionable shave.
I can't think of a way to make the handle secure, but I don't think it would be difficult to shave with a binder clip holding the blade. I have a nice English Shave planned for towel day, but will be trying this one after.
SOTD May 23, 2017 Blade: GEM Stainless Razor: GEM Featherweight Brush: Artisan badger Lather: Hibco Tobacco Post: Witch hazel, Mennen Skin Bracer aftershave WTG, touch-up Good shave today. Not great, but good. The Hibco Tobacco is a nice scent. It's a decent soap and does the job but isn't anywhere close to the top tier lathers of Stirling, Soap Commander and others. The Featherweight did a great job and this was shave #7 on this blade. I tossed it and will start a fresh blade tomorrow. Overall good, so no real complaints. Hope it's a great day for everyone!
Do it. It's a very solid piece. I have even managed not to gouge it up yet. Sent from my XT1585 using Tapatalk
