1. I got the worse shave of my life with Williams Mug Soap. I was travelling and I paired this soap with a feather razor blade. It was a good thing I brought a styptic pencil. I am scared to try it again. My favorite retail store shave soap is Van Der Hagen Luxury Soap. I'm happy to know some people are getting good use out of Williams soap.

  5. You picked a classic pre-shave, all right.
  6. No bottles of water? Apparently, in India, many men shave with a cup of water and a razor (DE originally, now the Gillette Guard for a lot of them)
  7. That could work water is back on now so I'm all good if it wasn't I was going to go use the shower at my gym in the morning

  8. I've done something similar many times, but using a bowl of water. In fact, if I'm shaving at the sink, I always do it.

Hot water in the bowl (I just prefer it), wet a washcloth, soak the brush, dampen my face down with the washcloth, whip up a lather in the mug or soap dish, lather up, and start shaving. Dip the razor in the water to remove hairs and soap. Re-lather, repeat. When done, wipe the face with the washcloth to remove excess soap, dump out bowl and rinse. Makes cleanup a snap.

I got in the habit of doing it when I had a small office - it had no hot water, so I warmed the water up in the Corelle bowl in the microwave.
  9. What brush did you use? Williams is a great soap. Some just need more practice to understand its goodness.

Vintage boar and a scuttle. Top notch! Bully!!!

Ewwwwww. We are going to have a talk about emergency plans.

    Yup that's an emergency plan.

Camp shave. My grandad talked about using a helmet in WW2....always made sure it was not his though.

  18. I can also attest that a whiskey bottle can NOT be easily broken over another man's head, and if the bottle was full, it would likely cause a brawl - at the waste.

  19. I've spent a little time in Boulder! I went through the Graduate School of Banking at the Universiy of Colorado in the late 90's. That was a great experience. I always enjoyed the street performers on Pearl Street, and going to Estes Park on the Weekends. The school finals were a killer!
