That's a real beauty! I've heard that the head of that razor is the same as the super speed. If so, you'll get great shaves from it.

I already have ~5 Super Speeds (Flares, Ranger Tech, and etc), so you can tell that I really enjoy them. That all said I'm looking forward to it coming in.

 

Though I never loved my Techs I've always wanted to try the Star DE as most say they are a little more aggressive and I prefer the handle. I'll also see how the handle suits my gold 1924.

The top cap on mine is either silver or lighter gold than the rest of mine.

Is yours the same?

I've used the one I got for my GF with a Lab Blue, shaved great.

 

Looking good! Let me know how it shaves. I've seen a few around but was on the fence about getting one.

 

I know the top cap to be Zamak, plate brass, I presume handle is brass but can't verify. I read handle weight is 39.3g (so it's about +10g over prewar Tech). British PAL/Personna versions were often aluminium.

Here's mine, seemed like it was all gold when i got it. But as I've cleaned it up a few times, the cap gets lighter each time.
