I already have ~5 Super Speeds (Flares, Ranger Tech, and etc), so you can tell that I really enjoy them. That all said I'm looking forward to it coming in.
Though I never loved my Techs I've always wanted to try the Star DE as most say they are a little more aggressive and I prefer the handle. I'll also see how the handle suits my gold 1924. Sent from my Nexus 5X using Tapatalk
It's still in transit, can't really tell from seller photos , appears NOS. Sent from my Nexus 5X using Tapatalk
Looking good! Let me know how it shaves. I've seen a few around but was on the fence about getting one.
I know the top cap to be Zamak, plate brass, I presume handle is brass but can't verify. I read handle weight is 39.3g (so it's about +10g over prewar Tech). British PAL/Personna versions were often aluminium. Sent from my Nexus 5X using Tapatalk
Here's mine, seemed like it was all gold when i got it. But as I've cleaned it up a few times, the cap gets lighter each time.

I've read that unlike Gillette's gold razors these are unlaquered. Sent from my Nexus 5X using Tapatalk
The plating on the Star is very thin. Be gentle when cleaning as it's very easy to remove. Sent from my SM-N910W8 using Tapatalk
Deft polyurethane and/or Renaissance wax? Anybody tried these ? The gold wash on my Progress also seems not long for this world. Sent from my Nexus 5X using Tapatalk
When they come it at 5 to 10 cents each, and I have had good results with all of those blades, time to stock up. That should last me the rest of my life. Unless my kids start using up my stash, when they get old enough to shave. LOL Sent from my SM-G920V using Tapatalk
