Awesome vintage razor set! Looks like it's in really good shape. My only vintage 'set' (Gillette ABC 'Empire') had to be fully restored, including inside the case, and pieces of the razor needed 'transplants' from another 'Empire' razor in order to achieve a full 'new' looking condition. So, I cannot make the claim that my 'set' is a complete one due to the 'Frankenstein' restoration of the razor head, case swap and purple interior re-fabric'ing. Razor Emporium sure did a great job making it convincing that the two merged sets were really an original set. I honestly wouldn't have tried to re-plate or restore a completely intact antique set because that would have ruined the value. Genuine, intact, antique sets should be in a case. Sets that are family heirlooms or have flaws/damage can and should be restored and enjoyed.

You have so many awesome gear combinations Ram (don't know your real name). I cannot keep up with your product collection. I see now that I simply have to buy more. It's the only way going forward.

I almost went with a rose scent today (Royal Mayfair & Caties Bubbles' Royal Garden), but ultimately picked Bois du Portugal. It's kind of hard to smell bad for people on this forum.

OMG. I didn't even see this one. I keep wondering if there is a way to obtain an intact Shulton Old Spice "Burley" set that smells legit after all these years. That OS lime set just sets off feelings of shave den envy.

Thanks Tim. I admit I have too much gear in the den but I do like creating different combinations that strike my fancy. Downside is I never get around to finish a product. I think in five years I have finished just two shave soaps\creams and no aftershaves or balms.

I've never tried the Burley but I know Primo scored a bottle of OS Burley I believe last year. I was actually surprised that the OS Lime Aftershave and Cologne were NOS and the aroma is strong as I remember 40+ years ago when I was in HS and had old spice and Brut as my go to aftershaves.

Although the Wilkinson blade didn't tug at all this morning I still needed three passes to get the desired BBS shave that I wanted. For tomorrow it's back to a Rapira in the old Super Speed. The Krampert's Frostbite gives such fabulous lather, and its scent is so nice - to describe it would be a blend of pine and mint, mixed with frankincense. The menthol strength to me is around an 8.3, it's comparable to my Frozen Tundra soap. The matching aftershave has that same great scent and gives wonderful skincare, along with a strong freeze.

    A good Sunday to all!

Mastro Livi RWL34, 15/16 Full Hollow, Spanish Point, Olive Wood

There is something magic in this Mastro Livi RWL34 razor. This RWL34 stainless steel is simply amazing and gives both a very close shave and an irritation free smooth skin. I admit I am very fond about this straight razor - yes, I am very fond of all of Mastro Livi razors I have in my collection - also for the fact I personally watched its making and I also made a video of it. The edge is still very sharp and super performing - it still has the original Mastro Livi honing - and after four years it shaves like the first day. Just Mastro Livi loom strop and hand palm stropping and I was ready to experience the best shave. Amazing straight razor!

    Thank you Guy,
I think the Meißner is a quality soap indeed. I had a Strong 'n Scottish, but after it stained two or three of my towels, I had to sell it. The Lime does sound good. My other Lime is MW and it's too sweet.
