Something went wrong with the Gem, won't hold the blade steady and don't know why. Everything looks good but the blade slips. Maybe the spring? Anyway, I finished with the M1 and end results were just fine. Now go enjoy your day folks.

Fantastic shave with some irritation though . This razor seems a little more aggressive than the American aristocrats. It really doesn't like used blades and prefers a blade with 1-2 shaves on it.

Razor: RazoRock German 37 Slant
Blade: Rapira LUX (2)

Last week I got to the end of a tub of Proraso red soap (as well as a Proraso green travel size). I had tried ARKO stick soap in the past with OK results but not anything great. I had been rubbing the stick on my stubble then face lathering. Decided to mash the stick into the empty Proraso container and try it that way. Huge difference for the better. Very little work to get enough lather for probably a 3 pass or more shave. Very slick and nice cushion. I just do 2 passes and minor touch ups. I know others complain about the scent, but to my nose it's a nice clean, refreshing scent that I quite like. Probably use this same set up for a few more days.
