  3. A feather for me is weeper city, even in a mild razor like a 34c. It's usually the only time I see pink lather

  4. Thanks very much Andrew.
  5. I love to face shave with a shavette. I cannot bring myself to shave my lumpy head with one.

  6. Another good shave tonight, solid B+. I feel like the Conquest soap is conquering my stubble, as I didn't need the witch hazel to touch up as much. I do think it is time to replace the blade in the Schick E3, so probably tomorrow night.

I got an e-mail from Larry saying my straight razor had shipped, that was fast. I've also ordered a modular paddle strop from SRD. So by next week I should be good to give it a whirl. Still need to get some blades for The General to try, which I should have by the end of the week.

    Happy Tuesday.
  7. My May 30 DC didnt turn out as planned. I had wanted to learn and come up to speed with the shavette. Instead I gave up on it and PIFed it. I remembered why I gave up on straights some years ago and the Parker SRX was in the same ballpark.

While things didn't turn out as planned, using it briefly helped me improve my technique which has gotten a little sloppy from primarily using a mild razor. I used a feather blade in my more aggressive razors and ended up with some spectacular shaves. For the most part, I will still use the tech as a daily driver, but I am no longer avoiding my others like I have been.
  8. Silly rabbit, those brushes aren't for shaving.....

  9. And you would also offer to pay the international shipping to get a used, shedding boar brush? Some things are just meant for the trash can.

  12. I should be good for awhile. Though if the straight goes well, I'll probably get a second sight unseen for when i have to send my first one off to be honed...

And then ill eventually get honing stones... and im sure someone here will enable me, and so the vicious cycle continues.
  13. Those things breed like rabbits.
  14. Thanks very much.

  15. I have a Kent Comb....would love a brush from them, but too expensive, would need to shop for best price.
