Now if that isn't just par for the course! Jason mailed out mine at the same time he mailed yours (and mentioned that the domestic shipping was actually more expensive!) -- and who gets his brush first? Jason's fellow Canadian or the guy in the next country over? Yeah... Way to go Canada Post! Slow one-handed round of applause here for them living down to low expectations again... Oh well, at least I know the brush is going to look stunning when it finally gets here. And I think I know what part of my June focus will be -- dialling in the new brush! (Another part will be learning about the Gem Damaskeene SE that I won in the TSD raffle, because IT arrived today -- thanks @wchnu!)
If your face is sore to the touch 12 hours after the shave, my guess would be the blade or the shave. I have had rashes or bumps in reaction to a soap but never sore to the touch.
I had hoped I was getting you guys excited for the future! I had no idea you ladies were so sensitive.
Glad you like it! I'm a little worried- yours was the farthest distance away of the first 4 I mailed at the same time
I'll have to shave with my Hussy tomorrow morning. It's hard to shave with a straight through the tears.
Please excuse the long multi wuote. You guys talk a lot while I sleep....here goes... I second this. I enjoy seeing people learn a new skill. 1914 Williams and aqua Velva. I call that classy. Bully!!! SE rocks! Face lathering is how the GAWDS do it too you know! I just followed the head cannon ball dude. Glad there was enough room in the pool!! Yup that! I will back that!! And throw in an award!! That thing is beautiful!!! Can't wait for mine. Hope you love the shaves with it. If your out of rocks to throw from the side lines I will be happy to send you a truck load or two. Nice set up. Sorry it did not do a better job for you.
What rocks? He used what was available. It's just I've used that flashlight for other work, and it's VERY directional. Something like the exposed incandescent bulb of whatever that thing was that you randomly see for sale on E-Bay as a razor would work a bit better to let you see what you were doing, without blinding yourself. I'll have to locate one. Not sure I can use one of the 'flashlight pens' or not.
This soap arrived in the mail today and I love the smell (Iced Pink Grapefruit). I liked it so much that I decided to take it for a spin. I grabbed my Jayaruh #155 Boar and whipped up a wonderful lather. Not only not does this soap smell great, it performs! I decided to honor MAYhem with my last shave of the month. I grabbed the only razor that has left a significant permanent scar on my face. The Feather AC SS actually intimidates me more than any straight razor because of past experiences. I loaded a Feather Pro blade and did a two pass shave. I ended up BBS with no injuries. I think that all of my straight razor shaving has improved my technique enough that this razor isn't as evil as I remember. A wonderful second shave of the day. TSD Iced Pink Grapefruit Soap Jayaruh #155 Brush Feather AC SS Kamisori Feather Pro Blade Lucky Tiger Florida Water Have a nice evening! It's been a great month.
