30 DC First Annual Mayhem Awards

The awards ceremony has begun! I look forward to the acceptance speeches.

 

On it. We could go through the motions of nominating others, but I'm pretty sure this one is wrapped up. I'll put it on the big board, just let me know if you want to nominate others, or just declare a winner and your prize.

 

I'm behind. May begin this evening may begin tomorrow. Either way, it won't be long!

 

I think this one is settled if @mrchick agrees. The prize is a Lord plastic shavette with 6 disposable blades. I think @Drygulch needs more open blades to play with!

 

Several new Shavy awards prizes have been added to the big board. My daughters have agreed to announce the winners with me via video, but that will happen tomorrow. In the meantime, fear not, as multiple prizes may be awarded in each category, or to each winner. Also, the Academy has some surprise awards at the end. Don't touch that dial! Each winner will be allowed to pick their award one at a time, maybe even a few at a time and there is no reason to rush. No one needs to be tied to their computer or phone all weekend (particularly me), so take your time enjoying things while the winners are announced. If it stresses anyone out to try to respond too quickly, I may even reduce the awards one winner a day in order to keep everyone's blood pressure low (mine included).

I would like to make a new Shavey category and award. 30DCOG- Those founding members of the 30DC that are in their 30th consecutive 30 Day Focus/ Rule. Chris @Bama Samurai, Neal @NCoxSTL, Clint @clint64, Mark @Boojum1, and Adam @Drygulch. I would also like to nominate 3 other people as Honorary members of this illustrious group. These three have made huge contributions to the 30 day thread, and have been in most of the 30 day threads, so the 30DCOG(Hon) are Charlie @wristwatchb, Brian @mrchick, Doug @Douglas Carey. (I wanted to include more people on this, but I ran out of soap pucks.) If I missed anyone who has been in these threads since the beginning, let me know. For those awarded, you will be getting a Dirty Deeds soap puck in the mail in the next week or so. I will send you a message shortly.

 

Adam thank you. While was one of the founding members in January 2015, I did miss a month or so last year. I would welcome the soap but I don't want to mislead anyone.

Well, I feel bad that my category had no takers. In that light, if permissible, I would like to offer one last opportunity. I know it is late, and let me know if it is not ok. Also some of these guys are up for Shaveys and others may receive a confirming award from the academy, so if you want to save yourself a few bucks in postage, once the winners are announced, you could send pucks to me to distribute to folks I,lol be shipping out to anyway. Your call. I only offer up this option if it is more convenient and less expensive for you.

 

That one is going to be hard to beat! However I've learned to never underestimate anyone in this group!
