I believe it was Titanium that caused his issues.

No. That would be the dreaded Titanium coated blade. I'll get to that one probably next in line.

With straights I do WTG twice, and then a sort of drawn out ATG pass and cleanup built into one. There are spots where I have circular growth that I kind of hit from all directions while I am there.

Another week and another soap and brush up to bat. I will be using the Simpson Chubby 2 Synthetic aka "The Soap Destroyer" along with Mystic Water Raspberry Lemon. As expected the CH2 easily whipped up a rich slick lather. The citrus scent was a nice touch on a rainy morning. Three passes and a few touch ups later ended in a near BBS. A splash of F&C Capri kept the citrus theme going. I hope everyone has a great Sunday.

Those Chubbies sure do eat soap. They are fun brushes to use.

Looks like another day off today. Got the moving truck filled with all my big stuff and moved with no incidents. Only thing was finding out that the truck had no cruise control when I hit the freeway at the start of the 3 hour drive. Only some more little stuff and my move will be complete. :)

    Happy shaving everyone!

4 June 2017 Blade Focus Shave

Pre: Hot water, hot towel with soap off the puck
    Blade: GEM Blue Star SE
    Razor: 1950's era GEM Featherweight
Brush: JR#161 NY Mets Special Edition
    Soap: Cella Crema Da Barba
    Post:
Hot/Cold rinse, alum block, cold towelx2
    After Shave: Cella Lozione Dopobarba
Another shave week, another blade audition! This week it's GEM Blue Stars.
This morning I used one of my favorite Sunday soap/creams, the Cella. JR#161 did it's usual outstanding job whipping up a slick, fragrant lathering that could've gone four or five passes. However, it only took 2.5 and a little neck touchup to accomplish a near BBS shave. The Blue Star did a very nice job. The face feel while shaving was very smooth. I don't get too excited about Sunday performance, 'cause pretty much all blades do well on a two day growth. The workweek shaves are what separate the contenders from the pretenders.
Splashed on some Cella A/S and the day commences.

They are fun to use. With the Soap Destroyer following the Shavemac Flat Top, I am not sure the Raspberry Lemon will make it much longer.
